Went for a new score. Can get through this game easily now and discovered a few new areas. Also used the tactic of completing the coffin game and the Moe game before the Graveyard level. My new high score is 243,700Great score !!! My high score is 143,200 after completing the Egypt levels.

110,300 The first ice level is really pissing me off now, just lost 7 lives again on the same jump as before (2nd jump on the river part, keep either banging my head on the cavern roof or just falling straight off the edge of the platform ). I will get past that jump with enough lives left to get onto the 3rd zone!!! Still haven't managed a slide puzzle either . Is it just me who can't do those damn things?

Sorry Ian, back to gaming for you. My current score:
265,551
It doesn't seem possible to collect every item in every level, especially in Hollywood, but you can dang well near do it. I went to take a picture but didn't realize the game gives you NO game over screen with a score when you beat the last boss. What's the deal with that? There is one area I can collect more items in, but let's see how much more ian can raise the bar before I do!
Edit: Next time I'll try to take the picture of my score before the final boss so you can see where it's at. That's ultra lame because I assume you get points for killing the little things he throws, but no clue what they're worth.

Just had yet another go (must have completed this game like 10 times now). Could only manage 251,550I give up. How did you get that score Stan? And how did you end up with a single point (the 1 on the end)?

There is a secret to how I got it. If I reveal this all hell will break loose! It involves NO cheating, but pure gaming my friends. I figured out all the game mechanics I needed to win and exploited them. Hint one, do whatever you can to collect EVERYTHING. You may not have noticed, but in addition to the cheap Krusty items and the secret Krusty items (did you get them all, they're worth a lot), EVERYTHING you collect is worth points. That means every grape squishee, every invincibility head thing, everything you can collect is worth points. That is my first secret. I think that 1 is a typo actually, but I don't remember what it was. Must have been a 0 since that seems to be typical for this game. I'll just make it that. You're quite close to me actually, ian, don't forget to add 5,000 for beating the final boss, as per the rules of the manual, which states that every Burns boss you beat is worth 5,000. Unless that is the final screen there. I didn't get one though, unless it's because I pushed the button. Did you get that screen after the final boss? If you didn't, add 5,000 to that and you're pretty close to me! Oh, but how to weed those extra little points out? That is a secret I will not reveal!

Still haven't managed a slide puzzle either . Is it just me who can't do those damn things? I have the same problem with the f..... slide puzzle. There is always 2 pieces that won't go in the correct position, but today i will do it.

So I was talking to a Nin***do collector friend of mine last night who loves this game on the NES. Apparently, if you collect all the super Krusty's you open up another level after the graveyard, although he's not sure if it's in the SMS version as the trivia quiz is missing from this version.... Could be worth the extra points needed to beat stan ;D. Just had yet another go (must have completed this game like 10 times now). Could only manage 251,550I give up. How did you get that score Stan? And how did you end up with a single point (the 1 on the end)? You need to take the image AFTER your 7 krusty's have been added to your score....

So just finished it for the first time and managed a score of 228,650 after the graveyard level. Unfortunately no picture as I didn't realise I'd finished the graveyard level and I didn't have time to power my camera up and take the shot before the score screen disappeared . I reckon there is definitely a hidden level for finding all the super Krusty's too. The gap between the coffin game and Moe's tavern game is big enough for another icon. Unfortunately, I could only find 6 out of the (I'm presuming) 8 super Krusty's. I'm gonna give it another go and try and search out the last super Krusty's I need . Still haven't managed to finish any of the stupid slide puzzles either . So, stan, the high score you posted, is that the actual score from the screen after the graveyard level or have you added 5,000 to it? If you've added 5,000 to it then you need to add 5,000 to mine and ian's scores too .

Yeah, mine has the 5,000 added. I'm not sure if a screen was there, I pressed the button assuming one would appear and it jumped straight to the opening title shots and such. I asked him, but he didn't respond yet. And, keep in mind, I still have ONE super Krusty to find with that score. I didn't find the one in the graveyard level.
As for this game having a secret area, I'm doubting it. There are several things missing from the game and some glitches or areas where they apparently forgot to finish programming or something. There is an extra level missing in Egypt, the trivia game you mentioned, a slot machine, and some other things. I doubt there's anything, but I'm going to try to find out today!

Me too, I'll let you know in a bit . I doubt I'm ever going to have the top score though as I can't do those damn sliding puzzles . I didn't press anything after the final boss and no score screen came up, so I reckon we'll have to go by the screen just before the boss.

5 Super Crustys ( i cant find a super crusty in skate board level, valley of the kings and soundstage 2 )

I HATE SLIDING PUZZLE !!!!!!!

I thought that about the Bartman icon, but I don't think it's true unfortunately because it's an infinite icon thing. The only way to test that is to sit there for awhile. I'll do that today and see. If it does cause a huge score, I think we're going to have to not allow that for the gameage here, because all you'd have to do is leave the SMS on and have Bart sitting there for a good hour or so. Anyone can do that. Here are where the Krusty's are you need (haven't found Soundstage 2 either, I reckon it doesn't even exist).
Skateboard Level On the first part stay near the top, because you need to jump to touch Lisa, who is sitting on the side of the wall. After this, get ready, I forget, but I believe it's the third part, the Super Krusty will be sitting on the wall, so stay near the top and get ready to jump for it when it comes.
Valley of the Kings This one is damn tough. When you get to the hole, you need to jump carefully so you land on the first room down the shaft on the RIGHT. In there you will find three sand tornadoes and Maggie is on the middle one. Hit them with your cherry bombs. She'll fall and the Krusty will appear.
Soundstage 2
I personally don't believe it exists. Reason being is that, in the NES version at least, when you go through the maze you then appear in a mausoleum where you have to jump on coffins and such. This part DOES NOT seem to appear in this version of the game because you go straight to the boss. However, I must also add this is the one level where I didn't seem to get many points (so take advantage of it!). I didn't see the first hole and fell into it in the graveyard, so I think if you go over that and to the right there may be more goodies and maybe this section. The reason I say I don't think the super one exists is that it only appears in the mausoleum section. So unless they changed that bit it's not in the game.

I've just finished it again (lower score than last time because i was just rushing through) and I can't find the super krusty in soundstage 2 anywhere. Has anyone even managed to find a 'Map' icon? When I play, I go in the coffin in the room with two coffins in and it just ends the level.... I hope there is a secret level that reveals a "proper" ending, as the current ending is crap, hardly worth completing the game for . I still haven't finished one of those damn things ;D.

It does not appear that there is a final Krusty to collect. I am of the opinion that this game was not only rushed to market, but it was left unfinished. I tried to beat my score again (didn't do the Bartman icon thing), and was unable to do it! That's a near perfect game there, my friends (only one thing not collected), so there's a hint. I was only able to come up with 263,550 this time around. 2,000 below my current record. Damn it to hell. Some things I've found that make me suspect this is an incomplete game:
1. Several enemies and obstacles are missing. On the junk level, for example, there are supposed to be bottle rockets flying at you, they don't exist.
2. In the ice river level, there are no seagulls.
3. This level also has a Super Krusty hidden in plain view. Lisa gives you a bag of cherry bombs, and in the other versions you're supposed to use this to destroy the igloo to reveal the Super Krusty. In this version, it's just dumby doo da day sitting right on top of it? What the hell is that? The bombs Lisa gives you are thus totally pointless because you don't use them for anything else in the game.
4. As I mentioned already, lack of the trivia games, slot machine, etc.
5. The final level is the most obvious. I looked EVERYWHERE. Today I just ran through all the graves, finding nothing. I went down the first shaft I hit, and it takes you to the same one as as the first one. As far as I know, in the NES version if you go into the second one you get a different path that leads to the mausoleum section. It pains me to beat this again unless someone trumps my score, so if any of you give it another go, see if that's true. Jump over the first hole (they're hard to see so be careful) and go into the second. See if the shaft there is any different. If not, I'm certain this is no Super Krusty in the final level, it was left incomplete! What a rip! I have a lower opinion of this game now!

There's lots of holes to go down in the final level. I must have jumped over about 6 before I went down one and it let to the exact same room as the first one. I'm going to give it one last go later on, I'll search the entire top section of the graveyard (again) and then I'll try going down the second hole as you suggest if i can't find it.
If I still can't find it then Bart Vs The World will be going back on the shelf, I don't stand a chance of beating the high score as I can't do the slide puzzles ;D.
