I can recommend Enduro Racer if you want to beat a game that's one of the easier ones (maybe even the easiest one) on the system. And the end message is very fulfilling

Now that I have a Master System to play on it's time to beat some of those games. Started yesterday with Enduro Racer. Stage 9 made me sad a few times but I eventually got past it with like 43 seconds to spare . 1. Enduro Racer 2. Aladdin

Kenseiden (no-death, all Warlocks beaten) This is probably my favorite SMS game, by the way. Land of Illusion Castle of Illusion Alex Kidd in Shinobi World Sonic the Hedgehog Kung Fu Kid (no-death) Black Belt (no-death, including the boss rush at the end) Ninja Gaiden (I'm still trying to beat this glorious game without continues. At this point, my best run has been burning just one continue) Shinobi The Cyber Shinobi (I swear I don't hate it as much as everyone else seems to) Rastan (no-death) Mortal Kombat Golden Axe
...And I think that's it. Oh and Street Fighter II on emulator.

I think the problem with Cyber Shinobi is that the first couple levels are really, really boring. And oddly, I'd also say they're harder than the later stages, which are more fun and varied. So players tend to have a bad experience right from the start of that game. It's a weird game, and yeah I'd say it's easily the worst Shinobi title, but I just don't completely hate it as many fans do, in fact I quite like the boss battles.
Also, making that post inspired me to put in some work this evening - I finally beat Ninja Gaiden without continues! I think I finally mastered the layout of that damn fire level, tomorrow I'll try my best to beat it without any deaths.

I guess I just don't understand what is technically going on with the Cyber Shinobi. The framerate seems really slow and chuggy. But the actual gameplay area, underneath that huge HUD, is only about two thirds of the screen. So, what is going on 'under the hood' that prevents this game from running smoothly? Other than those issues, I think it's got some charm and I want to like it, but just haven't been able to get into it yet. As Doctor Saki speculated, I haven't gotten past the second stage. Maybe I'll try to persevere!

It's really hard to have a status bar and also 8-way scrolling on the Master System. Cyber Shinobi gets around this by making scrolling go in 8 pixels steps in both directions (scrolling like an SG-1000 game, not using the hardware scrolling of the SMS), but that makes it feel really clunky when it scrolls. In order to achieve this, it also has to reduce the amount of screen which shows gameplay, so the huge status bar is there to fill up the remaining space.
They could have had floating status information but that would have used up sprites, so the relatively large sprites wouldn't have been possible (without some tricks and/or flicker/disappearing sprites). I'm sure they could have come up with something better than this, though.

You know I've had my SMS since 87, don't know how you guys managed to beat so many games. I had roughly 35 games in my youth, began collecting in 2011ish now have complete NTSC collection... I don't get to play as much as I would like but....really how do you beat all those games? I think I have beat Safari Hunt Action fighter with codes Transbot Double Dragon Basketball Nightmare Maybe a few more

Also a lot of the platformers are really easy and really short

I'm not going to count any games I've cheated on to complete or the ones that don't have actual endings and just keep looping.
Renegade Alex Kidd in Miracle World Ghouls n Ghosts Asterix Aztec Adventure Bart vs The Space Mutants - Good god that one was bad. Tom & Jerry (if I remember correctly) Ghostbusters Golden Axe Land of Illusion Monopoly Prince of Persia Wonder Boy III Putt & Putter Dragon Crystal Master of Darkness Indiana Jones & The Last Crusade
Rainbow Islands is a gray area for me... I got all of the diamonds but all of the versions for the Master System except for the ones released in Brazil were broken, does that count?
