Like last year i'd like to do it again, but if someone else wants to do it just LMK. I started the thread now cause last year was a bit last minute, although everything went rather ok IMO. Ok guys you know the drill, any suggestions are welcome. How much to spend, when the deadline is and such are the item of discussion so blast away! I was thinking, deadline before 5 december? Maybe a tad earlier? Cash to spend, about 25 euro's? Check www.xe.com to convert. Attendees so far: smscollect rupert Stan trashitall Estimated Prophet chunkchenko twr198 thund3r grolt drrotule

I'm in, add me on the list.
It's just shy of £20. thats fine for me.
When you say the 5th of December does that mean it's the date we decide who's buying for who and what everyone wants?
If so I think it should be a week earlyer.. As you need to locate and pay for the item, wait for it to be delivered and then try and get to the post office to send it back out.. plus Xmas post is slow.. I think we need to know whats what aboput 5 weeks befor xmas day.
2 weeks to hunt for and buy the item/s. 1 week to wait for delivery. 1 week to post (a bit long perhaps but I can only post on Saturdays usually). 1 week to arrive with the person (which can take longer over xmas)

Is it okay if my cost includes part of the shipping? It's gone up here and will probably be around $18 at least, depending on what I buy. And now I can put together a Secret Santa page using the pictures you all sent me last year to get ready for it.

It's like $10 (£5) max to post a couple of games from the UK to US. Anyway.. I think all costs should be included in the amount anyway. It's up to the person who requesting the item to know what the item is worth Vs the weight and roughly calculate the total costs. For example if it's going to be £20 total and your secret santa buddy lives over the big pond then for 2 games alone you will need to set asside about £5 as post from the game buying budget. I usually go way over budget anyway, think I more or less spent double last time, so pray you get me as your buddy ;D

I'm in on Secret Santa again this year. $18 to post one or 2 games?? It's like $10 (£5) max to post a couple of games from the UK to US. It has always cost more to send from the US to UK than the other way around. Our postage goes up like every 6 months now, what with wars and hurricanes and such.

I'm going to contact Ian to see if he has time to make some cool pictures or GIFs like he always does. Then I'll set up a permanent part on the main site for this, because I assume we'll be doing it from now on since it always seems to go well. Yeah, rupies, our costs have gone up. Last time I did airmail it cost me $11.75, and it was a REALLY light package.
