Again why is it that in the old version we had 535 members and now we only have 381 Where have they all gone I also dug this up.It seems people who registered years ago but never made a single post or even logged in have had their accounts removed from lack of use.

Why not boycot this new one and make the link on the site to the old one and lock all the topics on the new one and make links on the new one taking people to the old one?
EDIT: If we are going to do it we need to do it now before people start posting on the new one.

No thats not a good idea, I expect the old forum will be removed eventually. The update doesn't make that much difference anyway, sure its a bit annoying that posts come up as unread, but any posts you read from now on will show as read.

EDIT: If we are going to do it we need to do it now before people start posting on the new one. that wont work.. it all messes up when you try and post on the old one. It trys to link to this but then brings up an error. Anyway, now ive been playing with it for abit (the forum!) i'm starting to warm to it more. Everything is now marked as read and I can select a topic or thread page without having to enter a jump to number - It pops a little box up to select a number if you hover, so its not all a disaster. Plus I think the letters per post has inceased as Ive now got 35,000+ left on my collection list and I was close to maxing it out befor. Probly in a few weeks i'll forget what the old one was like.

I've turned off that menu gradient, as it just made it harder to see the buttons and text.

I've turned off that menu gradient, as it just made it harder to see the buttons and text. I was just about to say it's gone back to black. I prefer it that way, thanks

I just changed my skin to the default one to take a look at it. As mine has always been on 2nd skin for some reason and it is horrible it is really difficult to look at all that white text with a black background. I think the forum is much better on the second skin everything is much easier to read. Well thats my opinion anyway. It may just be because i am looking at it on a laptop screen.

I hadn't even noticed the differences until i read this thread, shows how much notice i take. I did wonder why so many people were online though, until i noticed it said 'in the past 24 hours' ;D.
Edit: Doesn't really matter how many members are on here either, i'm guessing the ones that are deleted never posted. Out of the 381 remaining members i bet at least half don't even remember joining.

Wow, and I thought I was the orthodox one! ;D This change has (naturally) also occurred on another ProBoards forum I visit. I thought the "Active Users In The Past 24 Hours" function was quite interesting; gives you a general idea of who's been around.

I have just realised his new forum also shortens the links for you so you don't have to type code and shorten it your self.
