I notice 3 Operation Wolfs, does this mean you are in mine, Nops and Kenneths variation club? Does anyone else on here go for minor variations? Pretty much, yeah. I generally don't go hunting for them (except Tec Toy and Classic stuff) - I just find them by accident. :) Actually, I just noticed that one of my Operation WOLF variations isn't on SMS Power!'s scans section. Time to see what other ones are missing (and scan them, obviously :)). I know my Tec Toy Sonic 2 is also absent from the scans section. abit off topic now but whats diffrent about your other Op Wolf?

abit off topic now but whats diffrent about your other Op Wolf? It's a variation of the "1990" cover; the SEGA logos have an ® symbol after them. This goes for the insert and the manual covers (front and back). Here are the scans. Click to enlarge (the large images are several MebiBytes [sic] each!) The top ones are the new ones - the bottom ones are the usual ones. From what I've seen, at least. I've had at least half a dozen copies of Operation WOLF, and I've only seen one with the ® mark after SEGA's logos.

Actually, I hadn't - but you're almost right. :) It's the 1991 version which has more languages and a different cart sticker - the 1990 release has just six languages (in both manual and on the insert). Both manuals seem the same thickness, though - and they both have the same number of pages. The 1991 manual also seems to be printed in a slightly different shade - more blue than purple. But that could quite easily be my brain/eyes malfunctioning. :) With the exception of the included ®, the other 1990 manual is the same as the regular 1990 manual - six languages. All mentions of "Sega" within the manual omit the ® mark. I did notice the colour of the cart sticker, though - I asked about it a few months back in another thread. :) Since we've successfully derailed this thread onto Operation WOLF; the games database says it was also released in Brazil - does anyone have any pics/scans of this?

I use a bookcase my dad dug out of the trash almost 20 years ago, and he refinshed it, if I recall correctly -- he dug a lot of furniture out of the trash and restored it, like the dresser I use. As for my bookcase, I use it for my Saturn games anyway... ourworld.cs.com/airbikecop/usasaturn.jpgThat's an outdated pic, as I have almost double that... Anyway, it can hold a decent ammount of Genesis and SMS games if need be,

yeah the 90 and 91 are same thickness manual, just crammed more languages into the 91, So really giving its a diffrent cart sticker aswell its just as much a variation as the US re-releases. plus ive now got the 1990 ® variation

each regular game box is exactly 1 inch wide if thats any help i went down B and Q and bought some planks of wood (sanded and finished and the like) each plank was really long and about 6 inches wide. I then made 2 planks so they fit down one whole length of my wall, then repeated this about 10 inches below. each shelf can hold 151 sms games so potentially i can have 302 games on 2 shelves... looks really ace too. cant wait till i have 302 to fill it up !! Warning!! I did this and although it was a great idea and served its purpose at the time, i'm now moving and have had to change my games room back into a dining room. This led to a very expensive replastering/redecorating bill! Oh well, live and learn, my new house has got a huge attic soon to be games room but i think i'll stick to bookcases this time!

Is anyone concerned about light bleaching? We've all seen badly faded covers on eBay.
I have mine in boxes under the bed until I get my own place when I'll get some sweet display cabinet.

Is anyone concerned about light bleaching? We've all seen badly faded covers on eBay. A little, yeah. But it's not a problem for me, since my bookcases face away from the windows. I finally got my third one 'Billy' bookcase, too! You can get doors for these 'Billy' cases, though - either glass or solid. The solid ones would be good to block out the light. I'm not going to bother, because I love being able to look over my shoulder and see my games. :)

I have mine away from direct sunlight, i dont even really like the blinds being open to be honest. I also have a folding room divider that I made infront of them as the room they are in is joined to the lounge.. my mum and her friends probly dont want to see them all the time
