£20 including postage is pretty damn good value really, not as cool as the portable but still interesting. I wonder if they got the sms on a chip from tectoy, since tectoy used a much more scaled down board in their later consoles.

Hmmm, question I have is whether to consider these things part of the SMS canon.

I dont see why not, since 4 pak all action is and thats not a licsenced product.
Its a master system item, but its up to you what you consider neccessary for your own collection. For me Mahjong isnt needed for a complete collection.

No, I just meant whether to consider it a part of the SMS' history since it includes non-SMS titles in it.

There are gamegear games on there, but a gamegear is little more than a portable master system. Infact several gamegears games were actually the exact master system versions, the gamegear would scale down the image on the fly when playing. To me gamegear, sg1000 etc are all part of the sms history

Now we're getting craaaaaaaazy. Do they have any other versions of this Playpal with different games or just the Sonic variety?

Hey guys!!
I can write a tutorial on how to add a port for an sms/md controller so you can play it like it is meant to be.

Could this be turned into a portable Master System? I.e with a clear screen?

Could this be turned into a portable Master System? I.e with a clear screen? I think it's called DS Lite (better than GBA since DS use exactly the same screen resolution as the Master System!).
