Hi guys, I still can't get my Fm Unit to work for my Mark 3! If you plug it in with a non fm game, you get no sound at all. If you use a fm sound game with it, only the additional music/sound is heard but not the regular music etc.... I think it must have a loose wire or something. I'm pretty gutted as I think the sound unit really adds something to the games. I can take some photos with my new camera later, if somebody who has a sound unit could have a look inside theirs for me.......

I dont think any of us have marks3 fm units. You might aswell open it up and have a look for anything broken.

If you or someone you know has a multimeter you could check all the components, like resisters, to see if they are all working.

Are you plugging the DIN cable back into the MarkIII and then plugging the cable to your TV to the connection om the FM unit?

Yes that's right. It's definitely the FM Unit that's faulty, the sound is fine when the av lead is plugged into the back of actual Mark 3 unit.
I think it's the lead bit with the din plug on the end which is the problem. Inside I can see no loose wires, but it could be anything really......

Have you tried cleaning the contacts?
I know it sounds like a stupid question, but the pins inside my mark III were quite dirty (the system even had the little cover too)
Once I cleaned the connnection up really good, my FM unit worked great.

The thing is it used to work fine, then someone knocked it off my cabinet (no names; mum) and since then it doesn't work. I'm really cheesed off, nearly bought that cheap Jap SMS on Ebay, wish I had now
