The picture shows a portable movieplayer from Benq that officially plays GG and SMS games. Benq will also release phones with SMS and GG games installed. COOL! Now if only someone could put out a decent SMS-emu for Nokia 9500 I would be glad as there is only one available which cost money and runs sloow. But atleast I have a terrific Genesis-emu for it. (without sound but anyone)

Maxim posted that on SMS Power forums. In fact, *FOUR* machines / DVD player with support for SMS/GG have been announced in the past few months. Which leads me to think that either some patent has expired (or a legal loophole found), either Sega has been making deals with hardware manufacturers. I bet that more of those will spawn in the following few years. Which leave the question: which is the best of all?

Sinistral: Cheers mate! I have become a phone cable-technician. I found the news on a swedish IDG-owned site.
Bock: I think that Benq made a deal with Sega. Why Sega then? Because they can't release a player with 8bit Mario and Zelda because Nintendo isn't interested as they have their own portables out, unlike Sega which have left the hardware manufacture. So Sega now can make some money on their retrogames as well, just like Nintendo does with their re-releases for GBA.
