Boy, I was pretty certain this thing was only a European (primarily UK) release for the Master System. Guy was wrong, mustn't have even looked at the box (you can see the answer to the question I asked in the auction). So yes, this WAS released in the states and it's probably thus THE rarest NTSC accessory for the Master System, at least complete. cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8220410765

I've got one of those. (loose) I think mostly people just overlook them as being a PC or Atari controller. But yeah, even though the PC and NES ones look almost identical, there is definitely a variation that was just for the SMS (even though it'll work on the PC too).

Its just unfortunate that I threw them all out back in the day. I picked up at least one here in Canada - Compucentre I believe, for around $20-25 Cdn. I think I purchased the other two when KB toys was clearing them out in the USA for $4.99 US each. And I just picked up two more in another auction. cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8217249892&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1Obscure, yes. But rarest? I'm not 100% sure on that.

Rarest NTSC accessory, hands down. Now, I mainly mean complete, because you can easily pick up a loose one for like a dollar. This is the first complete auction I've seen in over a year (never before that, but that's when I started to look).
