i had mortal kombat when it first came out and thought it was amazing at the time, but didnt have anything to compare it to (I had Ceasars world of boxing on the cd-i at the same time but too diffrent to compare). I used to find it funny when raiden flew through the air like a checkerd flag, lol

same here on Kombat, I saw it reviewed in Master Force, bought it and loved it. One of my most vivid game-buying memories, in the big Westbrook ASDA as I recall, something mad like that - upstairs it had a kids' indoor assault course complete with ballpool finale, downstairs a sizable sega section. Mad.
Still love the game, with all it's faults.

Ok, the next Review is done for Mortal Kombat II as promised - hopefully an admin can approve it sometime soon, then let me know what you think!

Its up now. Ever noticed that the screenshots from the back of the first two games are from the more colourful gamegear version, which look a whole lot better than the rushed Master System release.
It might be an even worse game, but at least Tectoy were honest enough to use genuine master system screenshots on the back of Mortal Kombat 3

Lol, yeah I know! It's a bit of a cheap trick that isn't it! And I don't think I'm going to bother doing a review for MK3 - although I might at some stage change my mind about it! I don't know what I'd say about it other than take a mallet to it! Did you like the review though?

Yeah its another quality review, you covered all the important aspects of the game. Again i would have been a bit more harsh on it myself, a fighting game where the fighting doesnt really work properly is ultimatly not worth playing. But as with most games, if you owned it in childhood, you always have a soft spot for it.

Ok, another one rolls off the production line! Just completed a review for F1, so if one of you guys takes a look I'd be most grateful! Sorry that most of my reviews so far have been pretty upbeat - I've chosen games that I really like! I will do some bad reviews soon, I promise!

cheers for the input! MK seems to split the panel here! Some people seem to love it, others not so much so! Personally, I think they've all been spoiled in this day and age of Playstation and X-Box!!! ;D For a SMS version I reckon it's da bomb!!!

Ok your F1 review is now up. Before you ask, yes i did like the review!
The best feature of the game, which you rightly focused on, is the speed. The programmers really did a good job of creating a game that plays more like a 16bit racing game than a 8bit one. The hills on the track and 3d effect tunnels are very impressive, and it all moves along at a better rate than other games that attempted this sort of thing like Road Rash.

Great! Am glad you liked it! Am gonna give it a rest for a few days now and let some more people in on the action. The last thing I want is for people to go - "oh no, not another bloody review by him!". So I might do something else next week sometime, but that's enough from me for just now! Please someone else have a go at a couple between now and then for a bit of variety in writing styles!

Nice review of Rampart up by Gokhan for those that haven't noticed. This could be an interesting game to see peoples opinions on, RPG's are always a split decision!
