Welcome!! Well, without delay, my choice of game is the amazing SUPER SPACE INVADERS!    I first loaned this game from a friend, I think about 1994, I had delayed borrowing it for some time, simply because I remember thinking it was "just space invaders" - I swapped my friend my copy of Castle of Illusion, I was pretty sure that I had been conned out of a great game in exchange for a crap one - for a whole week! I got home and popped the cart in... I was instantly hooked, very surprising is the high level of colour used in the graphics, simple and yet very addictive game-play combine to make a game that is unmissable! If you loved the original Space Invaders - yes, there will be differences, but I guarantee if you give this a chance you'll love it too. Play, and enjoy! |

This game is damn sweet. I didn't expect much out of a remake, but they really did a good job with this. Time to pull it out and give it a go.

I like this one, not as much as the Space invaders remake I've got on my PC Engine, but this is good too.
I just wish the high score table wasn't so glitchy on an NTSC system.

Now this is how to do a remake. This game absolutely blows away the original, Space Invaders II, and Return of the Invaders. I can hardly believe how smooth the control is compared with those games. And the extra stuff, like the cow bonus and the different ways the Invaders respond to getting hit is awesome. I like the super weapon also (the one that blasts an entire row of Invaders in one shot). A really good game...Sinistral's pick exactly what these posts are supposed to do...it made me aware of an awesome game I wouldn't necessarily have played if I hadn't read about it here!

Other than something being slightly off with the controls (i used each of my controllers and the srick to make sure it wasnt just me) this game is a bit of fun indeed. Got a bit bored after about 20mins, but then it is a simple game so I wasnt expecting a huge entertainment value. My favourite thing I must admit is the big speil in the instruction manual about how Sega got in touch with the Space Invaders guy....

Nice pick, I love playing this in 2 player mode. Without it however, the game wouldn't be of much interest to me.
