The puzzle genre is a seemingly forgotten one in the GoTW series, so I have chosen a superb little game that has; a) excellent graphics b) music that you can listen to for more than 15minutes c) replay-ability d) challenging, yet simple in concept.
Keeping these in mind I have selected on of my all time favourite games. So without further ado... I intorduce.....
DR. ROBOTNIK'S MEAN BEAN MACHINE!!
Has any other gaming series developed a characther as evil as Dr. Robotnik? In this game he is heartlessly converting the happy beans of Beanville into emotionless robots. It's you job to save them by freeing them from thier prison cells. By matching up 4 or more connected beans of the same colour send them to freedom!
This ripper of a game comes with great playing modes aswell. Battle Robotnik's increasingly more skilled henchmen in "vs Computer" battles, challenge a friend to prove your dominance, my favourite, the challenge area where you think ahead to make selected red beans disappear within a restricted move/time frame, and of course, the simple play for points or "practice" mode.
All in all Dr Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine is colourful, catchy, fun and I am sure you'll find, addictive!
Enjoy!

Hmm...I might actually be able to play this within the week, getting an Xbox and I think this is an unlockable on the Sonic Mega Super Deluxe Bombastical Edition or some such thing. Of course, I actually have to buy the game first...

I've got this on the Genesis, and haven't tried the SMS version yet. I'll have to throw it in my emu to play again, but I might have a little cash coming my way soon. If so, this will probably be one of the first games I get so I can play it on a console during GotF Good pick, I should be able to kick back with a few beers while playing this!

Awesome game, my wife pissed her pants when I beat it. Robotnik is nuts.

My b/f seems to prefer the Megadrive/Genesis version. Other than cleaned up graphics there isn't too much difference... So Roth, if that's all you get, you will still be experiencing the goodness.
And I unlocked it on the PS2 Sonic Collection Jo, so you should be right.

Great Game. Really fun in 2 player if you've got a good opponent.
A bit easy in vs computer mode though as I recall. Gladly give this one a bash again tonight.

Superb game, alongside columns, tetris, klax and baku baku, makes this genre one where the SMS excels!!!

Can anyone help me out with Level 15 in puzzle mode? I can only get a max of 4 in a row, or i get 3 all disappearing at once instead of one at a time!! The code for that challenge is: Red Pink Yellow Blue
I am going insane!

OK so I got my Sonic Mega Collection Plus for Xbox today and MBM is a really fun title! So far I actually like the GG version better since it's easier to discern the colours. This seems to be one of the better "falling block" type of games out there.

Keep playing this title everyone, waiting on a reply from either of the two next in line. I'll give it a go tonight to try to figure out what Jelly wants.
