Are there any level skip codes for this game? Raccoon Lad's cheats page sez: Streets of Rage Stage Select: At the Player Select screen, press Right 20 times, then press Button 1 once for each stage you want to skip, then select your character and press Button 2 to start.

Another top-flight choice I've loved the Mega Drive versions since they were first released, but didn't properly appreciate the quality of the SMS conversion until I played it in 60Hz, properly showing off the nice big sprites and legendery choonz. Just Blaze'd through it again tonight, dispensing pixel-perfect flying kicks to all and sundry

Just got round to playing it again now. I played the Megadrive version first and was completely blown away by it so when I heard of it's impending release on the SMS I was quite looking forward to it. I got it for £29.99, brand new, for my birthday (can't remember which) and played it non stop for ages. The game has some great graphics, despite some sprite flicker, and some catchy background music. Each character has plenty of moves and the game can be quite challenging on hard mode. Only let downs are the absence of a two player mode and the way there is no more than two enemies on the screen at any one time. Also when you hit an enemy it doesn't really feel like you've hit them. I think this is mainly because of weak sound effects. Only Streets of Rage 2 for the Megadrive got this right.

Has anyone else seen a copy of John Madden Football for the sega mastersystem? I've been looking for weeks, can't find it. I know it exists as I have seen it with my own eyes many years ago......

It doesn't exist on the Master System, although a couple of GameGear Madden games were released. Have you possibly get it mixed up with Joe Montana Football? (and not sure why this is in the GotW thread )
