Now i know there are people in front of me but it has been two months since the last post and people have been encouraging me to post. So moving on to my choice: Mortal Kombat I have chosen this game because the first time i played it i felt like i was transported straight into a retro arcade. The loud thumping music and the sounds of the kicks and punches. I think this is one of the best fighting games for the sms. And it just gets better with the addition of difficulty select and a two player option.

I used to play this game all the time as a kid, was totally different to anything I had played on sms before. While the graphics are pretty choppy it didn't bother me at the time, and I still prefer playing the sms version to the technically better megadrive version. The music is great, some of the most memorable sms music ever to me.

well I dont think the graphics are too bad considering all thats on the screen, I think when i got this I was suprised how big the sprites were. As I was used to only platform games befor. I still have my original copy i got for my birthday off my mum. It now has a nice set of master Force cards inside I'm going to give this a good go later and post some more witterings.

My review on the main site says my feelings on Mortal Kombat. It's one of the games that I so vividly remember actually queing up first thing in the morning on release day, so eagerly I was anticipating it. At the time it was so radically different to anything that had been released for the Master System, beyond what I really think anybody believed could be achieved in a graphical sense. One of the last games that really pushed the boundaries of what the SMS could do if pushed to the limit. My only gripe is that once beyond the main tournament, both Goro and Shang-Tsung are relatively simple to beat if you learn the technique to hit them. Great choice for the game club!

Yeah, but Roth does. I give everyone their full week before moving to the next person. Twr bitched about it and wanted to 'take over' and then didn't post his game when I told him to. Grolt is here too. You could have at least PMed me instead of fecking it all up. You're out of the club.

Calm down Stan, he only posted because the next person was well overdue, the last game Enduro Racer was chosen in mid January! Just change Blithos place in the list to before the people he skipped, no harm done.

Why not just PM biltho and explain the situation rather than embarrass him (and yourself) in public. Then you could move this thread out into the Staff area unitll it's bilthos turn. It's kinda crappy banning someone from the game club just becase they were a little too enthusiastic don't you think

Hhahahah, I was just kidding guys! I already talked to him, I really don't care, just messing around. Gives me an excuse to finally give it a thorough go, I can always go back and ask Roth or whoever to do it, doesn't matter.

Hmmm, I'm quite impressed at how skilled the AI is on the expert setting, pretty impression. I'm not sure if it's a matter of that it's really good or taking advantage out of the awkward programming. Anyone else having trouble with the controls? They seem poorly planned because there are plenty of times I pull off a move and it doesn't work.
