Oooh, thats a disadvantage given the small screen size. Some sprites are difficult to make out aren't they eh?
The GG versions have larger/zoomed in srpites so they're easier to see which ironicly makes the fist boss of Sonic 2 very hard because you can't see where the bloody ball is bouncing! Anyone else notice this?

Well, I finally got the chance to have another crack at this last night for half an hour, but I still couldn't get past the second level. I've got a free afternoon today though, so I'll try to fit in a good session...

Anyone ever play the PC Engine Chuka Taisen (Cloud Master)?
It's a remix of the original game with different enemies and bosses, and the ability to turn around and shoot from behind.

Just been playing Cloud Master for the last hour. I got all the way to level 3 without being killed and I had some great weaponry. Then I hit a flying mushroom causing me to lose all my power-ups making me unable to complete the level. I played until all my lives were gone giving me a total score of 341000.

Aw man, is this one of those games where later on you can pretty much forget beating it if you lose your power-ups?

Sadly, this game is also one of those where you pretty much have to memorize the levels to get through them well enough. You can't really just go into it and make it through, you have to remember lots of enemy patterns in addition to how enemies move.

The way you guys are talking makes it seem like this game is more difficult than most Master System games. As it is still the only game I have for the system (until RanmaChibi's package arrives for me), I am glad to hear that they are not all this difficult. I have been past level one once, but only that once. This game is hard.

Cloud Master: (final notes) Graphics - 8/10 Sound - 6/10 Playability - 8/10 Durability - 9/10
Final Note: 8/10
Commentary: A really excellent surprise. i´ve never gave this game the time it deserved. Good graphics, excellent playability, ok sound and a dificulty level above average for the SMS makes me give a good note to this game!
FINAL NOTE: i didn´t pass the 3rd level.... damn

Well, I finally made it to the 3rd Level last night before losing all my lives in a frankly shambolic display. I'm going to keep plugging away at this one because I am gradually improving, just at a pretty slow rate As several people have mentioned, it's major failing seems to be the lose-yr-funky-power-ups-and-it's-Goodnight-Vienna problem. I wouldn't mind playing the PC Engine version that Raccoon Lad mentioned - being able to turn around would probably help matters greatly. All told, it's a fun shooter, although I provd to be worse at it than I thought 7/10.

What's the best way to beat Kappa (second boss). I can't seem to do it, he trashes me every time.
