I herd there were also countries in Europe in which all you had was the SMS [maybe a few computers too]. Here in Brazil we only had the Master System. A few years later some companies brought pirate NES' under different names, like Dynavision and Phantom System, but there was no advertising nor anything; those were just cheaper than the SMS. Since brazilian people tend to be miserable [because WHY THE CRAP you'll spend R$200 on a good console when you can spend $50 less on a suspicious one?], those shifty systems used to sell well enough, but the Master System stood it's ground until the end of it's "classic era", and Tec Toy keeps pushing it to this day. Are they still releasing games?

I don't think so. Those usually come with 150 games inside and without cartridge slots, so it's kind of worthless. I've heard something about new games, but it was from unreliable sources, so I wouldn't bet too much on it. I'll take a look if I see one of those SMS' hooked up on a store. EDIT: I've found a list of games that come with those consoles on their most recent version. Here it is: www.tectoy.com.br/pagina.php?tag=msevolutionblueThere are some suspicious names there, like Resta Um, Junte 4, Arqueiros... Though I wouldn't doubt Tec Toy took that god awful 20 em 1 cart and scattered the so-called "games" around the poor SMS.

Thanks, there will be many appreciative people if it's confirmed there have been some new games. Even if there rubbish lol

A couple of the games have made it onto those little Master System 20in1 handhelds they sell here. I had one with Tec Toy Sudoku and Hang man built in to it, along with the usual Sega suspects like Alex Kidd.

I was just curious given the incredibly long life of the system in the country. If anything new was still being brought out. Im sure someone might be along soon that has more knowledge to confirm it. Edit: SMS sudoku sounds interesting

Hehe Actually makes sense that it's a built in game if it comes in a Light Gun console pack.

The first real SMS game I played was Shinobi (following the traditional Hang On/Safari Hunt initiation).
