I never liked Mortal Kombat (expect for Deadly Alliance wich is great) so for me all three games are crap. I have MK2 on the Master System (altough the games are forbidden here ) and i must say it sucks. Lame Gameplay, bad graphics and the typical crap mk-gameplay which is nothing compared to Street Fighter I found another game thats definitive a martial arts game: Dragon - The Bruce Lee Story ;D well, i think that MK and MK2 aren´t that bad at all (were talking about a 8 bits version...), as to MK3, I tottaly agree it´s really bad and Dragon is another piece of crap either. ... but when you want to get them all, you even get MK3 lol!!!

I am really wanting to get hold of SF2 but I have to say still that does my name not say it all? lol! I LOVE kung fu kid. I know it's easy, and not that in depth, but it was just the 2nd game I ever got for the SMS waaaaaaay back in the day, and I still remember how excited I was to play it since I got it in the afternoon, had to go to my grans (who has been deceased 12 years now!), then stop for dinner with my dad before I could finally get home to play it! I still think if you just turn your brain off and play it is such an addictive and fun game! Flows well and doesn't have any glitches unlike a lot of games in the same genre!

Kid is actually a really cool game. The bosses they throw at you in the last level are rough.

It's definitely an impressive game, and I like how they took a more realistic than mystical direction as in the NES series, it feels more like the arcade version.

The ninja: pure awesomeness but I still didn't manage to beat it ;( Kung fu kid: great, Imho ! Kenseiden: I don't know what to say about this obscure game. I personnally consider it as one of the best games for the master system, a pitty it wasn't that popular.
As for cyber shinobi, I bought it when it was released. I remember the controls weren't top, but once you got used to them, the game was really enjoying, each level were really different from each other, pretty tough game also. Took me a long time to complete it and I used to play it again now and then for fun !

This might be a controversial thing to say. But I really enjoyed "The Ninja" I mainly got budget games has a kid and this was great!

Nothing controversial about that at all, The Ninja is a brilliant game, and anyone who says otherwise either hasn't played it properly or has poor taste! Sega were a quality company, selling such a great game for a highly affordable price of £9.99, Nintendo would have never done such a thing.

Black belt was great, even though it was a fist of the north star game re-done. I loved the music in the game really catchy.
My hero was awesome all I did was jump kick people all the time.
I wish I knew a place to grab some of those tunes they were great lol. I still listen to Dragon's Trap and Alex kid tunes lol

I wish I knew a place to grab some of those tunes they were great lol. I still listen to Dragon's Trap and Alex kid tunes lol SMS Power! release "VGM packs" for SMS games, which are basically collections of the music tracks for the games. I'm not sure if they've released packs for the games you mentioned above, but it may be worth checking out their music forum: www.smspower.org/forums/viewforum.php?f=2
