1. I'd say the colors look fine for now.
2. Obviously we'll need to add some graphics for the upper portion of the screen to spice it up but the arrangement is perfect, everyone here will be used to it and will easily be able to navigate the site.
3. I was thinking of the pictures myself. The obvious idea is to use some classy 16-Bit shots. I have some in mind. Definitely a good one would be the in-between level screen from Alissya Dragoon, and then two others, but not those that would be obvious. I'll try to think of two more.
4. I can write something up for the welcoming text if you like.

Could you find some pics for me ? . 4. Great, I would love that! thanks!

I assume Andy put up the original design, but Ian did the upper pictures. He may be willing to come down from the clouds to put some together for you. Otherwise I can throw something together I think. I'll get some ideas for two more pictures. If anyone has any good ideas post them, Dragoon is a great one. Oh my god look how awesome it is.

Also, still need more people to help so if your interested in working somehow on the website send me a PM. What language will you be using for the backend? I like the idea and would love to help out - but I can't promise anything because I've got a load of other stuff to do. If you're using a sane scripting language, I can probably spare some time to help out with the code. There are two things in a Megadrive site I have been looking for: 1) Technical details and discussion (especially info on writing software for it). 2) A scans section, like the one over at SMS Power!. Will this site feature either of these (or are there such things already in existance?)? I'll help out even if it won't, but I'd definitely be more inclined to help if it will. :)

Genesis Collective already has an extensive set of scans, have you seen it?

Those are cool, thanks. I didn't realise Eidolons Inn was still alive - that site has been around for ages! :) I've just been looking through the Genesis Collective, too - more great stuff. I've browsed around their site a few times over the past few weeks, but it didn't really 'click' with me. Not that it's bad or anything. But you're right; there are loads of good and well established Megadrive sites out there. Not that I'm saying Peder and co. shouldn't go ahead with this plan... :)

Yeah by no means let me put you off making a site. Just put a lot of thought into what your putting on it. Aim to cover stuff the other sites don't, because you'll struggle if you try taking on features other sites have been doing for years.

And this is exactly why I need your help! . I just decided to take an idea that was floating around into reality (cyberality). I will check out the allready mega drive related websites out there and see what they dont have etc. I still think that general info about the mega drive should be on the website though, but other features I agree should be something that aint done before on other sites. Thats also another reason why I asks all of you to please let me know of something if there is anything that could be put on the site etc.

Yeah, I must say that Sega-16 is an awesome site, but I myself don't really like the layout, excellent though it is. They merely have a list of games and not really a database, so there's a start, I always liked what Andy did here because it gives lots of info (granted I still need to add a ton) in addition to screenshots. Plus, of course, we could do another character thing and get a nice database for accessories, which Sega-16 doesn't even have a hint of as far as I can tell. Another good, all-around site would be awesome, and again my original idea was for this to basically work in conjunction with Sega8Bit, so that members here could talk about the Megadrive and such with the same people they're already familiar with, it's essentially creating another space for us to mess around in.

There's more than 700 different cartridge games - not including variations. The list i have has 942 confirmed cart releases, a few of which have been released under different names in different regions, but that is excluding "classic" variations and so forth.
