im not sure if i should even talk about this! apparently a global cataclism is going to sweep the earth of all living things come december 21st 2012 were about to end a 26,000 year time cycle and the last time that happened the earth flooded (that whole noah's ark thing) well some say its going to happen again. we hear that were going through global warming right now, and thats just f****** scary! whats supposed to happen is a polar shift, thats when the north and south pole change places with each other, like the earth actually flips over and starts to spin the other way. thats gonna cause a world wide storm and we're going to be FLOODED..... just a thought, i dont think too many people have ever heard about this but i urge people to check into it, do a web search about it or something, but i gotta warn you, your not going to like what your gonna read, let alone weather you believe it or not. i personally think there is a good chance and we are going thru some seriously messed up shyt in the world right now i dont think it'll be 2012 but its not that far down the road. does anybody else feel this?

Pffft. As a registered Chrono-Explorer, I have seen the future, and it's pretty much the same as it is now, exept america has a leader who actually cares about it's people and releationships with foreign countries.
Now you must excuse me, I'm late for my dinosaur hunting expedition.

No, my time-machine looks more like a wooden crate tied to a lawn mower and draped with x-mas lights.
(Time travel doesn't pay much)

21st December 2012 is the day when the calendar of the maya's end. I read a discussion about it in a forum and i guess something will happen, but i'm sure its not the end of the world or the arrival of god or something. And i never heard about a polar shift. 2012 is some years away and i guess we should worry about other things, like the volcano in the Yellowstone Park, looks like this thing will blow up soon...

Groan. Not this again. Does anyone pay attention to the fact that there have been SO many dates that "match up" with this and that "ancient" calendar that it isn't even funny? 1880 was believed to be the end of the world, so was 2000, and blah blah blah, it's not going to happen anytime soon. We are way overdue for an Ice Age or major shift, but the change isn't drastic. It comes gradually so I'm sure we'll figure everything out.

Yeah, anyone else hear about the YellowStone thing?
Some scientists think it could wipe out a BIG chunk of the US. But then again, Yellowstone is a unique geological location, so science can't really compare it to something else accurately.

Yawn, more geological nonsense. There's tons of crap like this everywhere. Like, I forget where, but there's this "island" that's actually a large rock resting on top of a volcano in the Atlantic. When it goes, the rock falls, and the entire Eastern coast is swamped by a massive tidal wave. Still waiting for that one. There's plenty of chaos everywhere, and something always happens here and there, but there is simply no way to gauge any of it accurately, thus chaos THEORY.

Yeah, just been reading about Yellowstone in Bill Bryson's 'A Short History of Almost Everything'. Kinda scary, but when there's fook all we could do about it anyway, it's not really worth losing sleep over.

Yeah, anyone else hear about the YellowStone thing? Some scientists think it could wipe out a BIG chunk of the US. But then again, Yellowstone is a unique geological location, so science can't really compare it to something else accurately. Well they say the Yellowstone errupts every 600.000 years, the last time was 640.000 years ago and the eartquakes there increase like nothing, there were times in the 80's were there were just around 300-600 quakes per year and 2004 there were over 3500. The main problem are the chain reactions, they say for example if the St. Helens errupt, the Mt. Rainier could errupt too and this could this affect the Yellowstone. Those volcanic chain reaction already happened some months ago in the pacific... And think about the USA, they await a lot of things. The erruption of the St. Helens, the Mt. Rainier, the Yellowstone, the Long Valley Caldera and the Mauna Loa in Hawaii, plus the big Earthquake in San Francisco. Guess the people there will encounter some hard times in the future... Yeah, just been reading about Yellowstone in Bill Bryson's 'A Short History of Almost Everything'. Kinda scary, but when there's fook all we could do about it anyway, it's not really worth losing sleep over. You're right, that would be wrond way but its better to talk about instead of ignoring it.

Everybody talks about the end of the world. None of this is the end of the world. Hey it may be the end of people but deep down I don't think the Earth really gives a toss about us. If it did it would probably hate us for the way we spectacularly screw it up.
If it decides to have a shrug, shake or hiccup we have no choice in it. We might end but the world won't. It is bigger and harder than us and if we keep poking it with sharp things who are we to complain if it pokes back.
Darwin was onto something.
Oh and yes I do like bands like Gong, Hawkwind and Jethro Tull!!
