A whole thread about me, eh? This could go bad. :)
Hello!
I am the new guy and I figured I'd introduce myself, since I don't yet have anything useful to post. I've been visiting sega8bit.com for a while now (great site, by the way!), but only now realised there was a forum... Doh. It seems active and friendly, so here I am. I've been getting my fill of 8bit goodness from the SMS Power! forums up until now. :)
I'm not well known in the "scene", nor am I a collector (as such), but I enjoy the 8bit systems (SMS and GG). I do various bits of coding for the systems - some of you may have seen my "Digger Chan" entry to SMS Power!'s coding competition earlier this year. Yeah, it's nothing special, but it was fun to create. :)
As for my "collection"; it's a little lacking - but I don't "collect" as many of you may do (not that I have anything against that). You probably won't see me bidding on any of the "rarer" games around on the auction sites - and if you do, feel free to outbid me. Heh. I mainly stick to the cheaper games - buying in lots/bulk to save on postage. Unless there's a particular game that seems interesting.
After many years of being an SMS-only man, I fnally bought a Game Gear! It arrived yesterday and am having a great deal of difficulty putting it down. :) I love it. It only came with a dozen games, so I really do need to start getting ahold of a load of GG games. It came with a Master Gear 2 convertor, so my reasonably-large pile of SMS games will keep me occupied. That is; after I complete Popils... Curse that game... :D
Sorry for rambling on... I hope to hang around and see what's going on - and maybe even contribute something useful. Who knows? :) Don't expect to see *too* many posts from me, however - I read forums a lot, but rarely post.
/me Aypok wanders over to the trading section to see if there's anything that will interest him.
