Hi I'm Nick from Lower Hutt, New Zealand. I'm 20 years old and have being playing master system since I was 8. I'm currently studying electronic engineering and it's a hobby of mine to study the hardware and software of the master system. I enjoy writing software for the sms and I'm currently making a RPG game for the system since there aren't too many of those, though lately I haven't had the motivation to continue since I'm busy looking for work. I own about 150 games and I also built a 512k devcart to play games I don't have, and to test my homebrew games.
My favourite games would be - Sonic 1, Putt & Putter, Phantasy Star, Land of Illusion and Ninja Gaiden, Ghosts & Ghouls, Alex Kidd in MW.

23 year old Aussie chick here. Got the SMS II with built in Alex the Kidd and "free" Sonic 2 game as a combined Xmas present with my brother in 1990. Been a fan ever since. Saved up 12 weeks of pocket money to buy Lemmings.... man the glory.... I shared and swapped games with my cousins and hired a lot of games out from video stores too.
Used it frequently until 1996 then it was shelved for a while. When I moved out of home I took it with me and have slowly bought more games and peripherals. Also have an SMS I now too. My mates think I am a bit of a freak, but they all love to play it.
I must admit my favourite type of game is the platform, and couldn't draw it down to a single favourite game, but Wonderboy, Asterix, Bomber Raid, Lemmings and Columns are way up there.

You are not the only one ;D I don't think there are there are much more, who are interested in such an old system. Most of the Girls i know aren't interested in Video Games, and if they only know the Playstation or the Sims. Its a shame, but maybe its cause, most of the guys 'don't accept' women who play, i know it from myself, the time played Counter-strike regular i got heard dumb comments from the guys, saying girls shouldn't play Games (Girls belong to the kitchen) or i get called a freak for collecting games. Its not fair

Occasionally I do belong in kitchen... when I have momentarily paused WonderBoy in Monster Land and am getting myself another beer.....
I am a bit of a tomboy, and have more boy friends that girls, but the girls are more into the SMS. I think it's the simplicity of the 2D graphics and only 2 buttons on the control pad... well that's why I like it anyway.

;D Hello. My name is Nick and after lurking on these forums for ages I've finally decided to join. I got a Master System II sometime around '89 and had about fifteen games for it. Eventually I brought a Megadrive and the SMS got put in the attic. About two years ago I played on it again and forgot how much I enjoyed the games so I started to collect again. My collection may not be as big as most of your's but I love it all the same. I've also got a couple of unusual Sega items too... Glad to be aboard...

Hey folks. I'm an SMS collector from Canada. It looks like most here are on the other side of the world. I was surfing around looking for some good sites on SMS stuff, and this one caught my attention. My brother and I shared an SMS many years back. Some fun times were had w/ the system. I enjoy collecting for this one as the boxes are sturdy, they have a uniform look (graph paper), and the fact that it was underdog to Nintendo. The size of the North American library makes it quite possible to rack up a complete collection, so that's my objective. Right now I've got 2 SMS 1 units (no games, and Hang-On Safari hunt built in), 1 SMS 2 w/ Alex Kidd. I think I have all 3 types of control pads (w/ screw in sticks, button, no button). Rapid fire unit, 3d glasses, left hand sticks, light phaser, Epyx 500XJ and some quick shot controllers. Around 100 different games.

Hey All
I'm an old-school gamer from Canada. I've been playing SMS more or less continuously since March 1989 when I first bought the system. It's the only console I've never been bored with. In fact, I am currently considering getting an Xbox, yet I remind myself I don't really have to since there are many SMS games I have yet to complete. My favourite title has been and always will be SMS Shinobi. At the moment I am doing my annual trek through Phantasy Star, one of the greatest games of all time.

Hello SegaMasterSystem.com!
My nick is SegaMon but my real name is Chris. I'm from California and Arnold Schwarzenneger is my state's governor. I am not much of a forum person but I knew ShinobiMan quite a while ago. ShinobiMan actually put a link to my very old website "SegaVG." Once I get my new site "Tonal Bliss Under God" back online maybe he can link that website on the new V.4 of SegaMasterSystem.com! Heh. SegaMasterSystem.com has always been a nice (yet quirky) website to visit often and I'm glad to post at this forum!
Maybe if I continue reading the posts on this forum I'll learn even MORE about Sega! I have never even heard ot the MS game Battle Out Run until this recent game of the week (#13) and it makes me interested in buying it.
Thanks again guys and it's nice to meet ya!
