Hello there Sega Master System gamers. My real name is Andrew Fisher, 23 from Upper Hutt, New Zealand. lol. I thought my username BobSega was pretty funny? Are there people here old enough to remember the musician Bob Seager?
Anyway, I first got a Sega Master System II in 1991 as a Christmas presant. I already had a PC at the time, with a few games, but I was excited about having a SMS becuase there were a lot of arcade style games availible for it. The first game I played was Alex Kidd in Miracle World and the second Altered Beast. The Sega MS gave me an immense ammount of fun. I lost mine in early 1994 when I stupidly lent it to a 'friend' of mine in exchange for his Mega Drive. He had opened up the machine and removed part of it before he gave it back, as a cruel joke and I never got it to work again. I actually managed to buy a SMS cheaply off a friend later that year and kept it until late 1996 when I sold it and all my games and bought a Sega Mega Drive.
Now back to present days, I recently bought a new Sega MS on a local Internet Auction, that regularly has SMS games for sale and I've collect some of my old favourites aswell as some one which I never got around to trying out. Yeah Sega really created some good games that are still fun and worthy even with the massive advancement in games. Which shows me that the people who create the games are more important than the machines that run them. Anyhow I look forward to chatting with all of you online. Bye Bye all

Hi everyone,
My name is Kris and i live in sunny England (not for too much longer though).
I started collecting sms about 2 years ago when i discovered EBay, bought a sms plus console and 3 games for £22 all boxed. It was only supposed to be a 1 off and then i got a bit excited when i saw Bomber Raid on Ebay (my favorite game) and just had to buy it. From that oment on i just bought all the games i could and before i knew it i had about 200 of the things in my bedroom. All my sms stuff is going on EBay of the next few weeks cause i am moving country to live with my family in Italy so keep an eye out and pick up a bargain.
Great site Tyler, keep up the good work......

Guess it's my turn... My name Is Joakim, from the northern regions of Sweden.
I had a Master system when I was a kid, but after a couple of years we traded it for a Mega Drive II. And a few years after that, we sold the Mega Drive, and bought a computer. Now I'm old enough to work and make my own bread, so I'm buying (or trying to buy) at least one game every month.
That's all for now. Great site man, keep up the good work!

Hi all!
I'm retro! My real name is Mark, and on ezboard forums *spit* I'm known as eggplant_casserole. I'm from England, and I'm 24.
My Master System collection has taken a bit of a back seat at the moment, as finishing my Saturn collection has taken priority. My MS collection is therefore quite small, probably only about 50 games. I have nearly all the PAL Saturn games though!
I thought I'd sign up to the forum, as this is a great site that I've visited for the past few years (probably since the early days), and a great reference.
If there's anyone out there having difficulty finding a PAL game, feel free to give me a shout, as I may well be able to help. I always look out for anything someone asks for!
ciao for now,
retro

Hello everyone, I'm Nights (not my real name of course) and I'm from England! My first console was the original Sega Master System with Sonic in built. I also brought another one off a like-minded friend with Alex Kidd in Miracle world in-built. ;D Due to this I have been bought up on all Sega Systems and arcade machinces and of course support Sega to this day.
I also have a brother who loves Nintendo, so a little rivalry has been boiling over all for all these years. But nowadays we just kick back and enjoy the good times from the two greatest videogame giants ever created.

Alright there people. i have just signed up and I am gonna introduce myself now. I am Adam and I'm from Edinburgh, I have owned many consoles and computers over the years from a humble ZX Spectrum through to a Nintendo Gamecube, stopping off at the N64 and the Neo Geo Pocket along the way but i never owned a Master System til xmas 2001 when i got one for £8 off Ebay. I had a friend who owned one back in 91 but I had my Atari ST and i was a little jealous cos the games for the SMS were so much more like the ones i wanted to play back then. Well now I have my SMS and I can afford almost any game i want, well any game I can find

Hi everyone!
My name is Neil, 21 from Leeds in England.
I got my first Sega Master System I for my eighth birthday as a present. It was the package with two joypads, a lightgun and the games Safari Hunt and Hang On built in. I also got the cartridge version of Ghost House. At the time I did have an Einstein computer but this was my first console. I had always enjoyed playing arcade games up to this point but it was playing on a mate's Spectrum when I decided that I wanted a games specific machine. My parents steered me away from the idea of getting a Spectrum, due to the long loading times, and I was given the choice of either a NES or a Master System. I chose the Master System and I've never regretted it since. I had the Master System for about five years I think before I bought my next console off a mate, which was a SNES, but I have never swapped or sold the Master System I got all that time ago.
As for the games, when I first got the console I would only get a new game on my birthday, at Christmas or if I had saved up enough pocket money. By the time I had got my SNES it was rare that I bought games for the Master System and at the time I only had about 14 games for it. These included Wonderboy in Monsterland, Cloud Master and Thunderblade to name a few. Luckily, one of the last purchases I made before I stopped buying games for the system completely was Masters of Combat, which I bought for 14.99GBP from a Makro store. It was four years ago when I started to buy games for the Master System again. Although at this point I had a Playstation I would still find myself going back to my Master System to play on it. I started by buying games from second hand games stores for prices ranging from 25p to 4.99GBP. The rate at which I got Master System games exploded once I signed onto ebay about a year and a half ago. Now I have 151 Master System games all complete with instructions and any maps etc. I very rarely buy a game if it is incomplete unless it is very rare and the chances of me seeing it again are very slim.
I do have a large collection of 13 other consoles with quite a few games for each but the Master System is the only console that I am trying to specifically collect every game for as it is by far my favorite.
I have been looking around the segamastersystem.com website for about two years now, the rarity guide is my bible, but I have decided to join in th eforums to learn more about the system and the games.
I look forward to meeting you all in the future. Bye.

Only withtin the past few weeks Ive had a awakening of the past. Ive Been Purchasing Games and Systems like a madman off of ebay. In an Effort to complete the enitre US version of games. Ive so far have obatined over 70 sms titles close to mint I have another 20 titles on the way. Ive found it does not matter where they come from, just as long as you know the item you are getting. Hopefully with this Forum I will be able to obtain the sms titles I have not seen yet on ebay. thanks for reading

WELL ITS 4 IN THE MORNING AND I FOUND YOUR SITE WHILE WORKING ON A NUTRITION PAPER. IM 26 NOW, AND I GO WAY BACK TO THE FIRST SEGA MASTER SYSTEM THAT I OWNED WHEN I WAS 10 IN 1988. IT WAS LUCK THAT I GOT IT, BECAUSE I ACTUALLY WANTED A NINTENDO BUT THEY HAD SOLD OUT, BUT I WANTED A SYSTEM SO BAD AND GOT THE SEGA AND NEVER REGRETED IT. MY FIRST GAME WAS RESCUE MISSION AND I HAD TONS OF FUN WITH THAT GAME. I EVENTUALLY GOT RID OF ALL MY SEGA STUFF, BUT NOW IM TRYING TO GET IT ALL BACK BY GOING THROUGH ESPECIALTY SHOPS AND BUYING FROM EBAY AS WELL. THE LATINSENSATION LOVES WONDER BOY AND HIS ROLE PLAYING GAMES, IF ANYONE WANTS TO SELL OR TRADE LET ME KNOW. UNTIL NEXT TIME, MAN I CANT BELIEVE THIS SHINOBIMAN IS LIKE 17 YEARS OLD, I FEEL LIKE AN OLD FART, BUT IM GLAD THIS KID APPRECIATES THE GLORY OF THE SEGA MASTER SYSTEM.
