Are you playing on an emulator? Or a physical cart on a Master System? What game are you playing?

Are you playing on an emulator? Or a physical cart on a Master System? What game are you playing? I am playing on an emulator. Right now i am thinging about 'Teddy Boy' but i think in general. They all have ther indivdual score list, and it resets evrytime i restart the emulator, or if the emulator crashes. Så i want it read out.

I would say the easiest way is to use a save state after getting a high score and then load the save state next time you start the emulator to play, to be able to keep the high score on the main screen.
Don't know which emulator you use but check for save and load states in the menus of the emulator. If it has Quick save/load those are the easiest as you generally just press a button or two on the keyboard but they are also the easiest way to lose the save as you can save over it by mistake if pressing the wrong button.
Done right it would work really well with a game like Action Fighter for example which has a high score list with multiple score and names.
Personally I just use a Google document and just write down each game to keep track of mine (and my brother's) personal high scores. But of course, it's not as fun as seeing it in the game.
