Hi guys, so 2 people in the last year have point out the Mega SG and its great ability to run Master System games on modern TVs. Just looking for a few more opinions on this, what else it can do and where to buy one for a reasonable price in the UK please. Any advise would be great or if there are alternatives perhaps. I've thought long and hard about an OSSC instead but not sure I want to go down that route. Any thoughts on that too?
Thanks, Oli

To be totally honest I went totally digital two years ago and never looked back. Playing SMS and whatever games I want in HD with potential cheats and save states is just too awesome. F HARDWARE.

I think the Mega SG is great, if you have a physical games collection! With additional adapters you can also play Mark III, Game Gear, Sega MyCard, SG-1000 & SC-3000 games! I don't know if there's any good places to buy one in the UK though, as far as I know you can only buy them officially from their website, you might be able to get some second hand via ebay or something though

I do really like the look of them but they look quite pricey. Might pick one up if I can get it at a good price but otherwise probably might just still to using my CRT with my Master System as I have been doing.

Thanks, Oli Oli, like I said today on stream, the Analogue Mega Sg is the best device to play SMS in my opinion. Mega Sgs are not always in stock and they are expensive but they're worth EVERY PENNY. And if you combine it with an Everdrive Pro from Krikzz it's just unbeatable. You can play SMS (with FM sound chip and save states), MD/Genesis (with save states), Mega-CD/Sega-CD (with RAM saves). Forget upscalers, forget all that. They're nice to have too, but the Analogue Mega Sg will be your main device, you'll see. Tom Heather (Sega Head on YT) also uses it all the time now.

Thanks buddy. I'm in two minds for my next console later this year. I'll either get a Mark III or possibly just go for an Analogue Mega SG. Depends what price I can get them both for. Thanks mate

I have both the Mega SG and the Super NT and I'm very happy with them. I use Mega Everdrive Pro and SD2SNES flash carts with them and they really are the best way to get a real hardware experience through HDMI.
I've also got an order in for the Analogue Pocket with the Game Gear adaptor and I intend to order the Atari Lynx one as soon as it is available.

MegaSG is very high quality device - it's been the only thing I've used to play Master System games since I've had it. If you can afford one then go for it.
