There are brand new Sega Master system 'RETROPAD's here. Has anyone tried them? If so what is your experience. They seem to have the SG Commander style / NES style D-pad. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/184709818441

Not tried them but they look a bit poorly made

They look like repro NES pads that just plug into a Sega rather than a Nintendo and are missing the start and select buttons. I've always preferred the D-Pad on the Master System pads, even over the Mega Drive pads too. Saturn D-Pads would be my second favourite overall.

Those look total pants mate.
I recently bought the Retrobit six-button wireless controller for the Megadrive. It works just fine with the SMS and can't recommend it enough at the moment.

Its definitely more a nes controller . I also use retrobit 6 bottom with cable , and it works just really fine. So when my fingers get a little pain with the original pad I shift over to retrobit, or if I just want to spare the old ones 😉

Whilst I've not used one I'd be more likely to use the Competition Pro joypad for the Master System, or the more modern bluetooth or wireless ones that come with (or at least buy separately) a dongle for the port.

I saw the guy at the Play Expo in Blackpool the other week. They looked ok but not brilliant. More of a novelty item IMO. Hope this helps
