Saturday 20th April 2013
I was bored, I needed a hobby. I went into cash generator looking for a dvd box set to get into or a sitcom I hadn’t seen before (there are some, honest)
I saw a master system 2 locked in a glass case, there were some boxed games being sold separately. I bought the console and some of the games, every time I went past I bought more until eventually there were non left.
It’s been a wild adventure so far, met so many cool people and spoken to loads more, 1 master system became 4, plus many more consoles and games. Currently telling myself a Saturn isn’t worth the asking price 😂

A day to remember indeed mate! I used to love going to cash generator back in the day to pickup retro stuff. Always had loads of stuff just piled up in tubs, this was before they went upmarket and started putting everything behind glass :-D Those Master Systems tend to breed when you keep them in close proximity! The thing about the SMS "Scene" (and I hate that word - scene) is that it's still small enough to feel like you can get to know most people who are really interested in SMS. This place will always be one of the core hubs of the community for me and like you I've met so many great people from this over the years. Long may it continue. I also got some really good SMS stuff from my (then) local Cash generator over the years but best haul was actually a Sega Saturn haul where I got about 30 Saturn games for a pound each, including stuff like Burning Rangers, Panzer Dragoon 1 &2, Virtua On, Fighters Megamix etc. It was a truly epic day. I really miss those kind of bargain hunts.

Currently telling myself a Saturn isn’t worth the asking price 😂 Whatever the asking price is, it's absolutely worth it. DO IT I'd imagine most of the good stuff is getting pretty pricey these days though.
