Has anybody seen this before? issuu.com/mondolfo/docs/sega2reThe Sega Master System Encyclopedia Book from Leandro Gado. The way it's stuck in that is a bit of a pain, but looks like he has a similar idea. And, sega8bit is listed as a source of information

Looks interesting. I notice each game has a rarity guide. I wonder if those values have been populated from the Sega 8 Bit list.

Nice! I think I may look this up! This is a review of a verified purchase. A Compendium of Sega Master System games is a complete waste of money. More than half of the "reviews" contained here can be found in at least one, if not more of this author's A-Z titles and his Compendiums. There are minor changes in text to relate to the computer in question but the majority of the text is virtually identical. The blatant cut and paste method suggests quantity rather than quality is the focus in these publications. Dates and Facts which are important in a title such as this are often incorrect which renders the interest value dramatically. The spelling is poor and the grammar worse. These are supposed to be reviews, not a collection of information that could be had from reading the game inlay. Should anyone wish to find a title that is informative, interesting, well researched and original, they would be well advised to look elsewhere. There is nothing here than cannot be found online. This is a great disappointment. Kieren Hawken is a fraud and a charlatan. He openly admits to never playing the games he "reviews". He is an Atari fanboy trying desperately to cash in on the retro scene and take money from true gaming fans under false pretences. Avoid any contact with him and his pathetic publications at all costs. Advise others to do likewise. atariage.com/forums/topic/300891-the-review-of-a-z-of-atari-st-games-volume-3-book-retrolaird-is-trying-to-delete/

I ordered this very recently on Amazon for £16 and then asked a few people I know on Twitter about the "author", after the horse had bolted so to speak. It seems a lot of the content is evidently swiped off Wikipedia and other books or blogs so soon cancelled it.
Everyone seems to have pretty good things to say about The Bittmap compendium so I thin k I'll pick that up as an alternative instead.

Been watching this and looks like the drama is still unfolding 🤣. Bet you wish you hadn't asked now.

Ha, yeah a little bit. To be fair I reckon most people are just looking out for me and other unsuspecting people. You and Dudley seemed pretty spot on!!

Glad I never ordered this book. My only complaint on the Visual Compendium is the lack of Wonder Boy.

Wow, never knew that about Wonder Boy. Any other glaringly obvious omissions?

Wow, never knew that about Wonder Boy. Any other glaringly obvious omissions? Not as big of a deal as Wonder Boy but most of the 3rd party titles are missing such as US Gold, Flying Edge, Virgin, Codemasters. I think an in the future a similar style but unofficial book that includes all these games would be really amazing. Having said all that this book is the best one there is for the Master System.
