Ive just picked up a cheap mark iii thats faulty, apparently it powers on but display no picture.. ill be posting pics when it arrives and any advice of what to look for would be appreciated?
Ive noticed the psu is a 3 pin uk type, should this not be a 110 volt one with a step down converter?
Cheers, pics to follow...

Arrived today! Ive ordered a stepdown convertor and wont be testing it until it arrives. Does anyone know the function of the ‘high/low’ switch on the rear? Cheers

I don't think theirs any issue using this PSU without a stepdown converter , it will accept any voltage and between 100 and 240v and then send 9v to the machine . The only time a stepdown converter is needed is when you are using a jap or american PSU in the uk as those can not handle the uk 240v main supply . When I first got my wondermega I was very weary about using a standard pal megadrive 2 PSU without a stepdown but it's fine .

Think it's for selecting different RF channels but you have a component cable their so that wont matter what you set that to .

I think you just need a US sms/md adapter that will fit it, if I'm right I think the power is in the adapter not the console itself unlike the sega saturn that uses the kettle lead/plug

I see you have the Japanese only release of 'Great Golf' one of my favourite 8 bit golf games. Much better than Great Golf released in the US and Europe. Just use an official Mega Drive or Master System adapter with the unit. Don't bother with that generic cheap Chinese adapter, unless you want to fry your Mark 3!!!!

Had a good play around with this! I checked everything with a multimeter and everything checked out. Next I checked every solder joint and resoldered 3 that were suspect and..... (drum roll).... nothing lol it still doesn’t work but I now have something much better winging its way here
