Import taxes was a small issue last year, will participates be happy to use the "gift option" and value their gifts at a lower price to lower the risk of getting one of those dreaded cards through your letterbox.

Import taxes was a small issue last year, will participates be happy to use the "gift option" and value their gifts at a lower price to lower the risk of getting one of those dreaded cards through your letterbox. the issue is that most of our participants are either British or American, and the countries have different laws. America- internal $100 per person per day. UK- £39 limit from non eu countries. Anyone from either side of the atlantic looking for clarity on the UK rules, I can help

I've had them slap a handling fee (but no other customs charges) on international mail, even though it's below the gift limit. But it easily costs me more than £8 in my time to argue over it. Probably a crapshoot based on how corrupt your local depot is! I voted "it's August" because it is August. It's even too early for shops to start selling mince pies and crackers (at least wait 'til September )! I don't really have much of a retro gaming wishlist anymore (at least, not within the price range!) but would be up for joining in.

mystery solved about who voted 'its august' I tend to start it in september, close it in october, set the sending deadline for november and give 4-6 weeks for international post in time for the time of year. Outside of retro I am one of those awful people that stocks up early, I hate shops in December more than the rest of the year (if its possible) wishlist can be anything you want, doesn't even have to be gaming stuff as I know we all have other hobbies.

Outside of retro I am one of those awful people that stocks up early, I hate shops in December more than the rest of the year (if its possible) I've actually done that this year. Every year I've scolded myself for waiting until mid-December to get all my family gift shopping done. This year when something catches my eye as a good xmas gift I've gone ahead and gotten it. Time seems to go faster as you get older so the holidays will be here before you know it.
