322406415794 Asterix and the secret mission £12.99 inc p and p Many thanks for this, good spot, but it sold before I had a chance to take a look. The good news on this is that with thanks to barney I now have a copy of this on the way, so will have another update probably next weekend with this and a few other bits I've also picked up. Great idea i think. But how about updating your first Post so everyone else can See what is missing? Otherwise we need to go through all the Pages to see what is left? So maybe if anybody has a game that you are missing, he can easily offer it to you. Hope you find every Game :-) Many thanks and that's a very good idea. When I get a few mins I'll edit the first post to include a list of games I'm still missing. I'll enjoy crossing them off as I go. Will be quite a list at the moment though, but I'm in no rush

Another Update, it should really be bigger than this as I have a little pile of games I’ve bought stacked up still to test/play. I won’t declare them until I’m certain they’re all working, don’t believe in tempting fate! Anyway, I’ve broken my record spend again, this time for Asterix and the Secret Mission, boxed but without instructions costing £8 delivered. I’ll comment further on this in the game club. Historically my most expensive buys have pretty much — for lack of a better phrase — kind of sucked. However this breaks that trend. To rectify this I have sought out another game that apparently may suck, one I've never played before, but I’m mega excited to get my grubby little mitts on it, and feel it as exciting a bargain as Out-run 3D was last year; that’s right, it’s this years flukey find, announcement pending it turning up this week in the post! (I feel like a kid before Christmas.) Nine new pieces of awesomeness to tick off:- - Asterix and the Secret Mission - (No Ins) - Will comment in game club. - Black Belt - (Cart Only) - Simple but fun, love the way people explode into pieces when you kick them in the face! - G-Loc - (CIB Mint) - Better than I expected, almost made my partner rage quit, worth the purchase for that alone! - Klax - (CIB Mint) - Love Columns and Tetris, never really got into Klax. Still the same. - Kung Fu Kid - (Cart Only) - Repetitive but fun, need to give it some more time to get further into it. - Marble Madness - (CIB Mint) - I forgot how frustrating this is. - Space Gun (CIB Mint) - I totally love this, currently have a love affair with the light phaser games. (More on the way too) - Super Monaco Grand Prix - (CIB) - Not my favourite racer but a decent enough game. - Xenon 2 - (No Ins) - Slow and clunky, but I love shooters so will no doubt play it plenty more. As mentioned before about me adding a list to the first post of games I still need, I am going to do this, but have decided to wait until I'm down to a hundred needed, at the moment there are so many common games I still haven't bothered picking up. When I hit the hundred-to-go mark I'll be more actively seeking the rarer ones missing. Of course if anyone feels like offering me Buggy Run or Smurfs 2 for a tenner, I'll always be up for that! Will hopefully have another update in a few days, fingers crossed. All for now... …151

Had a bit of time over the weekend to test a few more of my new gems that turned up recently, will do a proper update soon. For now I have another one to tick off that I was rather dreading getting a copy of. At the current rate of one flukey bargain a year I remain confident that my timescale is realistic. I'm delighted to be able to announce my second year bargain: ...150

Great pickup for the collection , I remember feeling quite pleased to finally get this game , popped it in the machine to test it out and fairly quickly taking it out and putting it away , Certainly one for the never to play again shelf .
Might play some NHL 94 on the megadrive later , I don't even watch or even understand ice hockey but I always enjoy that game ,

you need to put us out of our misery soup lol Indeed... The budget I've set is kind of more a guideline than a rule, there will be the odd exception but for the most part I'm sticking as close as possible to it. I have a spreadsheet (I know proper nerd!) that I keep tally of what I've spent on which games, the only thing up for debate is when I price items that came in a bundle. For example, a couple of years back I bought 39 games for just under £60, so for ease said they all cost £1.50 each, whether it be Bubble Bobble or Rescue Mission. But when the bundles are smaller, sometimes I buy them just for a couple of items so maybe declare those at £5 and the rest at £2. Hope that kind of makes sense. As for Championship Hockey, it was cart only, the sleeve is a repro. I was lucky enough to be allowed to cherry pick a bulk lot and then made an offer for the bits I wanted. When I did this I priced Championship Hockey at £10, (in my head) making it my most expensive purchase to date. If I took it as an average across the bundle it would come in a £6, but this wouldn't be a true representation as clearly the other games are of lesser relative value. As for the game itself, I'm over the moon that I managed to get a copy but it's not really very good. At the end of the first period I thought it'd crashed as the sound effect sounds like an error and screen goes black for a second before the scoreboard loads in. It's kind of funny when the opposition get stuck behind the goal, less so when it's me. It seems my partner is better at it than me, I got hammered (and very frustrated) in my first game and then she showed me how to win, she also enjoyed it more as I had trouble getting her to turn it off! It could and maybe should have been an excellent game but it's terribly executed. Similar to what ryanretro said, this has given me a desire to play some original EA Hockey on the SMD, one of my favourite games of all time.

Just a little update, though I feel these will most likely be an anti-climax after Championship Hockey, at least for the foreseeable. I still have a few carts to test; time has not been my friend over the last month or so and promises to be tight over the next couple too. I will try to catch up on my unplayed shelf at some point. It isn’t just SMS that’s suffering as I seem to be hoarding a vast array of unplayed NDS, PS2 and 360 titles also. Maybe it’s time for me to stop buying them until I’ve caught up? (My better-half will be delighted to hear I’m even considering that!) Anyway, another six I’m laying claim to:
- Arcade Smash Hits - Decent enough port to kill an hour with some classics we’ve all no doubt played to death before. - Asterix (The first one!) - Decent game, though after playing the second in the game club I think I prefer that. - Desert Strike - First time I’ve played it on the SMS, to be fair, massively prefer it’s 16-bit brother. - RC Grand Prix - Loved this as a kid and it’s probably one of my all-time favourite SMS titles, wish I’d picked it back up sooner. - Trivial Pursuit - Another first for the SMS for me, and enjoyed it far more than I expected, thus far pleased, but need to play it more. - Wimbledon - Decent enough tennis game, but I’m more a footy kind of guy!
All bar Trivial Pursuit are missing instructions. I'll hopefully be back on in a couple of weeks with another update. Hope you’re all keeping out of trouble and gaming hard!
