I picked up a copy of Fifa International Soccer recently (the Tec Toy SMS game), and whenever I try to play it, the colors go weird (everything goes black and blue, making it hard to see what's going on) when I get to the actual game itself. It only happens during the game itself, not the menus leading to it.
I've tried cleaning the game, and it seems to have no effect. I'm playing it on a US Genesis with a Power Base Converter.
Is my cartridge damaged, or is this just a problem with playing a Brazilian SMS game on a US Genesis?

I had a similar experience with Ariel the little mermaid when my daughter tried playing it with a converter. No issues on my SMS1 though. I have to assume it's the converter or the genesis its self.
Edit: I've never tried any of my other Brazilian games on the genesis for that reason. I'll try sometime in the near future and let you know if how it goes.

Thanks for the heads up. Good to know my game (probably) isn't broken.

I'm actually using the same setup at the moment too (albeit an Australian megadrive) and I haven't had issues playing Tec Toy games. That said I've not tried Fifa - will give it a go later today and let you know.

Tried it in my dad's old NTSC SMS and it worked fine. I guess it just doesn't like the Genesis for some reason.

This may be a common issue then. My copy of FIFA does exactly the same thing and has done since I bought it. The copy I bought was brand new at the time too, so I doubt it was damaged in any way.
