My coal whit my collection is, to have a lot of different games that I would have lots of fun still playing. And completed with box and manual . Also to get the most important thing, to sit back and be consumed in good memories of the childhood games😊

Just started collecting in January this year. Chose the master system as it was my 1st games console as a kid. I would like to purchase and own every game released in the UK complete with box and instructions. How realistic is this goal folks ??
Started by buying a console and 12 game bundle but now have roughly 27 games.

Realised I haven't done this yet either. I'm hoping to get a European set, but some games may be US copies, I'm not bothered about this. I would just like to own each unique title. After that I'll probably pickup the US exclusives.
For now I'm on the lookout for these games that are missing:
Assault City (Light Phaser Version) Asterix and the Great Rescue Bank Panic [card] Buggy Run California Games II Championship Hockey Cheese Cat-Astrophe (starring Speedy Gonzales) Daffy Duck in Hollywood F-16 Fighter [card] Flash, The Ghost House [card] Great Soccer [card] Home Alone Incredible Hulk, The Masters of Combat Mortal Kombat II My Hero [card] Power Strike Power Strike II Road Rash Schtroumpfs Autour du Monde, Les Schtroumpfs, Les Sega World Tournament Golf Simpsons, The: Bart vs. The World Spy vs. Spy [card] Streets of Rage II T2: The Arcade Game Teddy Boy [card] Ultimate Soccer Wonder Boy in Monster World

I missed a streets of rage 2 on ebay for 75 quid a few days ago. Last time round i got it for a tenner 😱 Im also happy to use usa games in my collection, ive got a trading friend in the usa and ive sourced around 60 games off him so far including most of the usa exclusives.

I got deep duck trouble for £13 in november which was a complete bargain. Ive got to the stage now where bundles are no use anymore because ive got most of the games in them.

I have decided that collecting and gaming as a hobby should always be fun, the minute something is boring or annoying then its a chore and not a hobby anymore. So I looked at what is fun- getting bargains is fun, discovering new old games, meet ups, helping others and events were all fun too, so that's what I concentrate on. I would love to be able to get a full set, but would it fit in with everything else? I decided my everdrive would do enough. I modified my psp too so I have everything portable too. Others will not like what I chose to do but we all make different choices This was 6 years ago. I lived in a different house, it was before my health scare and career change. I still feel exactly the same, I have done the full uk card set and a decent chunk of the German ones. Concentrating on fun and meet ups was the best thing I ever did. Once lockdown eases I can get rid of my storage unit and get to the bottom of what I have, what I want to keep and where it will all be kept.

Continue with trying to find every variation I can, for good prices. It’s really important to me not to overspend and be patient.
I see this as a never ending mission to be honest and I don’t mind that. I feel content with what I have and no rush or pressure to get more, other than the enjoyment of collecting.
Also I would like to expand on my Sega retail furniture but again at the right prices (my most expensive ever item in my collection was my Sega rotating shelving unit at £450 and it still troubles me a bit that I spent so much).

My collection goal was to get a copy of all the UK and unique games released in Europe and the US. Over time that expanded slightly and I picked up the card games and few Brazilian/Japanese releases. I even started to get into variant collecting and have most of the Kixx and Classic releases.
It was very tempting to continue down the variant rabbit hole, but I decided to knock that on the head. Simply didn't have the space and didn't want to spend more money on games I already own.
The only things I'm after today are Smurfs 2, Buggy Run, Robocop 3 and maybe Sonic Blast. In reality I doubt I'll ever pick them up the way prices have gone.

That's fantastic mate and yes I agree there is nothing wrong with being patient and waiting for the right thing to come along at the right price. Quite often I see people buying the right thing at the wrong price. Pretty much on eBay everyday LOL. Continue with trying to find every variation I can, for good prices.
