After pausing: Down- invincibility (do at start of every stage) Right- increase lives 1+ Right- restart level 1+ Down- warp to boss 2+ Right- increase shot power

Im with you. Sonic 1 on SMS is one of my fav games of all time. I also love 2 and Chaos. But, beware of Sonic Blast. Its a tec toy game and its awful lol. Im sure most people over here in the US still dont even know that there are Sonic games on the SMS. I was one of those years ago. I didnt know about these until 2000. When i found out, i was actually shocked, and proceeded to buy them all lol (even Spinball). I still pop in Sonic 1, multiple times a year, and have a play through and enjoy it the same everytime.

There sure is. Not expensive either. Couple on ebay. Type in ‘master system to mark iii’. I have one. Its awesome playing the games that have native fm sound on the japanese console.

Can anyone help me out identifying a device for the Playstation 1? 17-18 years ago, i bought a device, from overseas (im in america) that plugged into the parallel port and allowed me to play cdr games. It wasnt a gameshark or action replay. Had a spring that made the console think the lid was closed. I put in a regular disk, it started to spin, then stopped, at which point i replaced it with a cdr game. For the life of me, i cant find what this was. I have an action replay, but the disk doesnt stop spinning. I know there are other ways to play copied games, and its not like i intend to play nothing but copied games (i prefer the real disk), just kind of a nostalgia thing. Thanks.

What kind of haul are you looking for? I checked back at that list you sent me back when you bought ‘bmx trial’ from me. I have MK3 CIB, Phantasy Star Re-Release CIB, loose Satellite 7. Im not too into parting with the Phantasy Star (fav game, have the og release and mark 3 cart too lol), but if it means getting the upc sonic, id change my mind

Never blow in the carts lol! Q-tip with rubbing alcohol is much better. With the action replay, you may have to just wait it, hope to get lucky and find one cheaper. May take some time. There is another option if you’re looking to save games. I also prefer the actual hardware over emulation but there is an everdrive. With that, you are still playing on the actual console with the actual controller. With that, you can do save states. I definitely prefer the actual carts, but i also have an everdrive in case i start a game and know i dont have enough time to finish it, or also if its a difficult game and save states helps considerably. Check out Krikzz for the everdrive.

Lets try this. Does anyone have CIB copies of Ninja Gaiden and Mastet Of Darkness they want to move? What would you ask for them?

I looking for manuals to ninja gaiden, master of darkness and sonic spinball. Slim chance, i know, but anyone got these lying around lol? I have quite a few PAL games without manuals, but id line these 3 to be complete.

Yes you need the paddle. Its honestly worth buying. When i first bought my japanese console, i bought galactic protector not knowing it required the paddle. Instead of buying just a paddle, i bought the woody pop set. Those 2 games, plus alex kidd are all really fun games, and the paddle is nice and solid.
