Last month I decided to sell my entire collection and replace it with an everdrive and a few other consoles! It was fun collecting and playing around with old Sega stuff!
But its now time to move on, some great collections on here and ive had some great trades, cheers to everyone who traded/sold me stuff and i hope your collections continue to grow!

These aren't mine. Someone in Germany has made a large batch of their own reproduction and even translated the game to German. I'm cool with it though, they're not being sold for profit, just produced at cost for fans/collectors. Nice! They look good I especially like the CD

The Sphinx in Wonder Boy in Monster Land if you don't answer the question right.. Yea he’s a killer! Took us ages as kids to figure out you had to get the letter from the bar and deliver it to his girlfriend. I love wonderboy in monsterland and have played it to death but ive only killed the sphinx without that letter once.

The Japanese version (as in, when it's running on a Japanese system) has double the HP for every enemy. They dumbed it down for the export market. That explains alot then, cheers

This is a "we just hadn't anything better" type of game. We (me, my brother, my parents) had fun with it back in the day but nowadays going back to this....it aged really, really badly. I mean as Kaunisto said: We never really understood Bingo, it was just weird. Darts was ok but looking back now, even the darts game in GTA V is miles ahead of this, but it was fun in multiplayer. Billards was ok, not realistic (we play Billard in real life, it can't hold a candle to it), had no real physics, was simple but it was ok in short multiplayer bursts. Another case also where you can see how far we came with games. Compare it to something modern like Pool Nation... I think that could be said for most old video games, most don't age very well and is unfair to compare them to modern day equivalents. It was very simply programmed but it was a really early release (well in Japan anyway). I prefer Champion Billiards on the SG-1000. It doesn't go for realism, it's goes for more a creative/physics based angle and no real rules apply. Why call them billiards, when it's clearly pool! I think if an old game is still fun to play, graphics, sound or realism doesn't really matter. Parlour Games for me is still worth to play for a short games now and again. It might not be the best game ever, but it's still fun and nostalgic for me... I totally agree you can’t compare modern games with the 8 bit era... We have ps4’s in the house and a modern game pc (both for the kids) and I cant play on either! I find the games dull and can’t make it past the boring tutorial and intros lol 👍

Hi
I dont know the solution but ive also recently purchased a japanese master system and mine does exactly the same on wonderboy in monsterland.
Ive also noticed that the game bosses are more difficult, for instance the first boss needs 5 hits rather than 2. Im using my everdrive in the master system and I presumed I must have the japanese ROM but now im not so sure...

Picked up a Switch a few days ago. I'm going to preorder the physical release of Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap. I like how you can change between HD and 8-bit visuals at the press of a button. Ive got this on the ps4 and that feature really makes the game for me - genius idea

Quartet
A game i’d never tried but find it very addictive and entertaining when I slot it in
Maze Hunter 3D
Absolutely love this game, it shows what the SMS was capable of with 3D. Its such a pity more 3D games weren’t developed.

Is anyone familiar with a place , where you can buy repair parts for the sms ? Fx. When the controller or just something else of the hardware is getting worn I have a few old consoles that i strip for parts if needed 👍
