I am the proud owner of all seven issues of Sega Challenge/Team Sega newsletter. For those of you who have never seen them, I recommend checking them out. They were fantastic newsletters in the late 80's that pre-dated Sega Visions, and still hold up well today. I have finally scanned all seven issues to .pdf. Enjoy! www.zaponline.org/seganewsletter.html

Thanks! I have all of them except for the last issue, so it's great to finally be able to read it.

Hey Zap, awesome to have these online in such an organized fashion. Thanks for doing that.
Love the little newsletters. I have the complete Visions and Newsletter set minus that very first Out Run issue. I've been searching for years and have only seen it a couple times, but each time they were asking $600 or something silly for it. Would love to one day finish the entire set. Loved how small and personal the rags felt before it started to blow up with SEGA Visions. Great memories and a sense of community in those little pages.

Awesome. I've never seen those before (only the Sega Vision magazine). I have to chuckle at the first one: The Editorial has the weirdest hand-written S i have ever seen, making the "Welcome to the challenging world of Sega" look like Aega Also they call the bonus level in AKIMW "Bonus Board" - was that really a term back then for level/stage? Also the description for Rambo is fun: "To Destroy the wall in this level (it looks like an old man's head)" Also the Q&A on the last page is fun "What games can you choose the rounds you want to play" and then it lists a bunch of games without even mentioning how to unlock the level select cheat The question for The Ninja is even funnier. The scrolls are located in screens #so and so. Are you supposed to sit there and count the screens? What about the scrolling levels? Also "Where can i find game cartridges in my area?" - Come on, was the Master System really that unpopular in the US that you had to tell everybody to check in department stores, game stores or electronic stores? Isn't that just common sense? Was this somehow translated from some japanese Sega Newsletter? Second issue is even funnier, look at the crazy guy who wrote the descriptions of the boxes! Also 7$ for a video tape that shows you levels of some games? and the 3D games aren't even 3D but 2D? Another gem is: "The Sega Sports Pad is the ultimate in fast-response, multi-directional control. And it can be used to play almost every Sega game!" - Well, guess i'm gonna try it out on Sonic and Alex Kidd and if it doesn't work, they get an angry letter! Gonna give Trans-Bot a shot too, just in case something's wrong with my cartridges Really, it's a lot of fun to read
