Hey gang. It's with much joy (having finished the first episode) that I introduce you to our all new series, "The SEGA Channel." I spent a long time debating the idea of rebranding the SegaMasterSystem.com youtube channel. I wanted a stand alone show to focus my efforts on, and with SMS.com, I saw myself spreading out to broad... too many concepts and ideas. After much deliberation, I decided that an "ALL SEGA RETRO" show was the way to go. Thus, The SEGA Channel and the first episode seen above. SegaMasterSystem.com will remain a functioning website. We have some new writers who are very excited about cutting their teeth on some articles for the site, and when The SEGA Channel produces a Sega Master System focused video, that video will be shared on SMS.com. The two are basically one in the same... sister sites. But my focus is now on creating this ongoing series called "The SEGA Channel". I urge you to take a look at what I've done with the first episode, "The Amazing Spider-Man vs. The Kingpin". Please let me know your thoughts on the direction I've taken. Feedback is essential at such an early stage of the game. Thanks guys.

Good video. I never really got into Spider-Man vs Kingpin, but your video encourages me to give it another look. I never knew about the enhanced Mega CD version.
General coverage of all the Sega systems suits me fine. There are too many great Sega experiences out there to focus on one system.

NEW EPISODE UP!
Had a lot of fun teaming up with Aaron from Retro Liberty on this one. Altered Beast is a classic. Glad I finally got to say my peace on this title. Feedback as always GREATLY appreciated guys! THANKS!

I've always had a soft spot for Altered Beast. Good to see a positive review for a change.
Altered Beast didn't sell me on the Mega Drive (that honour goes to Sonic the Hedgehog), but it was a game that caught my eye. My friend at the time, who was a lot more experienced in video games, kept saying "You don't want to play Altered Beast. It's crap" but I'm glad I took the time to make my own mind up.
I can't say that it's one of the best games on the Mega Drive (it lacks the sophistication of the Shinobi platformers and the isometric beat-em-ups like Streets of Rage and Golden Axe; it's as though it tries to cover both genres and doesn't really deliver with either), but I've always enjoyed it.

Altered Beast on the Master System is appalling. The hit detection is abominable as are the unresponsive controls and flickery graphics.

NEW EPISODE!!!
In this episode, we take a look at Teddy Boy and Kung Fu Kid for the Master System. Also covered is Kid Chameleon for the Genesis / Mega Drive. All three of these "boy child" mascots had their day, but quickly faded into retro gaming obscurity.

Kid Chameleon is one of my all time favourite MD games. Ultra hard and the only way I ever got to see the end was by using a cheat to get the last level and working with my brother to beat the last boss. Definitely in my top 10 must play MD titles.

Another excellent video Tyler. As a child, I always thought Alex and Teddy Boy were cousins. Something that I discovered recently is that Alex's brother Egle, is the knight in Pit Pot. Mind blown! And they all appear on the Quartet cheat screen.
Kung Fu Kid has always been one of my favourites. It's simple and fun. Although the cheap method to bypass levels can make it a bit easy.
I like Kid Chameleon but I haven't played it lots. It's a tough game but very playable. I'll have to sit down and play it start to finish one of these days (with no warps).
Anyway, keep up the great work man.

Great job, man! Your videos are a really good contribution to the community of Sega fans!
Regarding the "1850+ screens" claim on the box... I believe that was referring to the days when magazines would map out platformers by photographing and compositing the individual screens into a huge image that would fill up a whole magazine page or two. That practice started to fall by the wayside in the 16-bit era when parallax scrolling came to prominence, and the resulting images ended up looking more garbled than they did in the 8-bit era when all the foreground and background objects stayed lined up.
