Pub/Zoo is located near to the city centre. It will be the first time we've hosted here so I don't know exactly what to expect. We have a 'snug' room to ourselves but only access to one TV.

We will require attendees to help with bringing extra TV's, systems and games.

I have been told that there is another event on that day (in a different area of the pub) and that the kitchen will be busy with that. Meaning food we be available up until 4pm. I'm sure there's plenty of other places in the area to eat if you wish.

The venue is around a 15 minute walk from Manchester Piccadilly Station. I don't think there is parking at the venue but there are car parks nearby. It's pretty near the previous venue (Lass O' Gowrie) so previously used car parks should be fine.

As stated in the other thread I can help with some TVs,

Have all CRT
14", one with scart and mono, needs a proper scart for it to switch to AV
14", my main little TV, bloody perfect for all things
14", RF ONLY!! its old and cranky, like me when ive had no sleep
21" another old one, dont like foreign consoles

Also.
Master systems, one one (with compo) and one 2

Software wise I have a few games, also a MS everdrive

Will need a lift to and from venue with them (im only up the road)

well the only things that will stop me are fire, floods, acts of god or my father in law's cancer operation clashing with the date, if it does clash i will give you guys as much notice as i have

i'll bring a tv too, which with mike's 4, and 1 at the venue means there will be 6.

might need someone to meet me at mike's to help with tvs as my car isnt huge and 5 tvs and 2 people might be a bit much for it to cope with.

also if you want an event write up afterwards again give me a yell and i'll do that too

Just catching up with the forum as i've been in Barcelona for the past few days. Great to see an event sorted! I had actually spent a few hours googling for potential locations a few weeks ago but was really struggling for anything that felt right. I'll defo be there!

I can bring 1 crt tv if needed although it sounds like there may be enough already. I can also bring machines and games if needed, just let me know.

For technical reasons, the three games together mustn't be more than 1MB, and later games tend to be 512KB. It helps if they're 32KB, actually, and old card type games are often good for quick blasts.

The "pattern" is to have a puzzle game at the end but Columns is a bit of a killer (i.e. boring). It really just wants to be something where you get more points with time and those points are mostly skill based (not like Hang On). I like the idea of having "different" challenges in each one - e.g. collect n coins/rings/whatever - and/or "different" scoring criteria (not just time). Then again, I might not have time for anything so this might all be for nothing

The Master system seems to be a bit lacking in puzzle games. Will mean Bean machine (Puyo puyo with Sonic) fit?
