i'm guessing those last few posts are jovial?
Alphabetical is better than part number, i cant see how part numbers refer to anything usfull anyway, ive never bothered with them. If some one can explain to me the relevence of them that would be great.
As for storage, i spent quite a wile searching for shelves that would 1) fit in with the decor of the room. 2) make most economical use of the space. 3) best fit sms game boxes (I had to buy 3 seperate extra shelves for each shelving unit). my other concerns were keeping them away from natural sun light and moisture.
in answer to onyx, I dont have a number of games im aiming for (i.e. 1000), I'm just going to keep going untill I cant find another variation, which will probly be forever. Ive plenty of room for more shelves so space shouldnt be an issue.

I think Bock and Stan keep their collections like that.
Actually, I heard a rumor that instead of a bed, both of them sleep in custom made, giant sized SMS boxes.
A bit like how vampires sleep in coffins.

Yeah, it was tongue-in-cheek, but I file mine by a) publisher b) box-style and c) part number - that way all the similar looking spines are kept together, so it's much neater than the mish-mash you get alphabetically.

I keep all of mine in alphabetical format, just makes it easier to find what you want to play.

Yeah, it's pretty decent - my copy arrived yesterday. :) I used to love the Amiga version, which I still have - somewhere. The controls on the SMS version seem a little... jumpy? They take a while to get used to - I don't recall if other versions where the same. At least this version doesn't require a code-wheel. :)
Anyhoo; nice collection, Rupert - looks very impressive. :)

This is so insane, I can only dream about taking after you one day <3 cool, well I guess it's harder to collect living in the US? I still need quite a few US games so I might drop you a PM with a list and you can do the same for Euro stuff if you like.
