I've played some of them (on emulators), yes they are "real" but of course not licensed games, most of them are Chinese pirated copies and some of them are home-brewed hacks.
The Chinese pirated ones might look cool but most of the time they play horribly or average at best. You will find better gameplay experience with home-brew hacks, but the quality varies there as well.

Ok. My friend. If these games are real and playable so convert YsII to sms would be minor problem if:
1 - Some smart programmers are disponible for do it;
2 - Money estimules do it.

Of course, nothing is impossible but there are a lot of things working against it. One of it being that the SMS community is so small. But yeah, money talks. If anybody is up for fronting a huge amount to buy the services of programmers that are proficient in Z80 Assembly code and have the time and inclination to learn all the "tricks" of the Master System to be able to best optimize a Ys II port, go right ahead Any multimillionaires with disposable income among us? Come on, don't be shy I doubt even a kickstarter project would be able to bring in the amount needed. Edit: Oh and yeah, need to get a license from Falcom as well if you want to actually sell the game developed or even ask for money thru a kickstarter.

ok. Friend, but think about this. How many phone consumers exist? (Iphone,smartphone, windowsphone). Well, the hardware run sms emulators. What if any programmers develop a game or demo and ask for one contribution or ask for donate 10 bucks to complete the full development of game? If i count with pessimist numbers of 50.000 user's phone the total would be $500.000. It's good initial money.

But Master System fans supporting/donating such a project won't be more than 60-80 (probably much less). Trust me!

Maybe you right my friend or maybe not. Maybe any TG-16, Genesis or nes fan donate too. By curiosity or fun 10 bucks don't seems to me too expensive.
