Does anyone have the rom file of Enduro racer Japanese release that they can send me. I have searched every page of the entire internet and couldnt find it. I want to play all the different levels that were left out of the normal euro/US release.

Thats what i was thinking - Enduro Racer Extended Edition I need the rom image first though, i need to play it to see how different it is. The only other Japanese game i can think of thats different to its Euro/US counterpart is The Ninja. But as far as i can tell so far, theres only one different level in it, anyone know for sure?

It was released at SMS Power but I've noticed all the mirror sites no longer have it. If you still can't get it I'll send to later this evening if you wish.

I wonder if we could get Woody Pop working? The Sports Pad might suffice for the paddle controller, maybe?

I have got the rom now thanks to Ian. Its a much better version of the game, theres twice as many tracks to race on, and their all very good. Theres also lots of extra graphics used throughout, the game uses a 256k rom chip, instead of the 128k chip used on the US/Euro/brazil release. I guess sega were keeping down their costs, same as they dropped FM music from the consoles.

Theres something i never noticed on the Enduro racer European release box text -
"Fly over barriers, careen around the corners, in a highly competitive race against the clock. Over wasteland, desert, muddy and snowy roads… using wheelie, long jump and landing techniques. All played out on a diagonally scrolling background with a stunning three dimensional effect. (For 1 player)"
The "snowy roads" are in one of the tracks that was taken out of the game.

I always wondered why they changed it? The japanese version is better in every way, except you can't read the hilarious ending text.

Maybe to save on production cost.

Are any of the levels any harder than in the standard Euro version? Lol, I reckon it's possibly the easiest game in existence!

The game is more difficult overall, i have played it a couple of times now but havent managed to complete it. Theres a couple of levels with boulders lying around everywhere, and trying to swerve your way between them all is pretty challenging.
