OK, less than a week to go... can we fill in the gaps?

Here's my suggestion:
Round 1 - Micro Machines - Knock-out system Round 2 - Pie Slap - Knock-out system
Round 3 - Olympic Gold 100m - Fastest time Hammer Throw - Furthest Distance Archery - Highest Score
Round 4 - Masters of Combat - Knock-out system Round 5 - Sonic 2 (Level TBC) - Speedrun
Is anyone totally against any of these games or in favour of one I haven't included?

I think we've had Masters of Combat in a previous year. I'd be happy not to have a fighting game - the SMS doesn't exactly have many good ones - how about something on one of the "classic" early games - Teddy Boy, Astro Warrior, The Ninja, that sort of thing?

I don't think we have had Masters of Combat but it's fine by me if we don't do it. The knock-out system takes longest to get through anyway. In terms of an SMS original, I reckon Playgen's suggestion of My Hero would be a good one. A high score system for that would work fine and perhaps using a Sports Pad like he suggested would make it more interesting!

Hey guys, I´m not in cause I´m in Germany, but you could play R.C. Grand Prix. It´s a good party game with a 4 player competition.

I think GP Rider with the Handle Controller & Footpedal would be a laugh. Either a 2 player knockout or fastest time wins.
3D Glasses, you could do Outrun 3D with the handle controller & footpedal or Missile Defense with the Light Phaser. I have a pair I could bring a long and a couple of pairs of 3D party ones which work with the MS too. I have a lead to hook up so can 2 people can view the 3D at the same time. Shame I haven’t got anymore so we could all watch at the same time.
If it’s just Phaser and not 3D, we could have a high score of Shooting Gallery or Marksman Shooting.
We’ve never done Masters of Combat. We’ve done Mortal Kombat 1 / 2 and Double Dragon.
It would be good to play some new games as well as the old favourites…..
I remember playing Maze Hunter 3D with a friend whilst blindfolded but that’s another story…

I'll need a finalised list of games for the comp by tomorrow as I will need to pick up the games from my mums house where all my collection is stored while I move house. I could also do with know who intends to bring what so I know if I need to bring anything other than two systems and the games. I may bring along some 3D glasses of I can dig out my loose set (a lot of boxes to go through ).

For the competition, bring Micro Machines, Cosmic Spacehead (is that where Pie Slap is from?), Sonic 2 and Missile Defence 3D (with phasers and glasses). I'll probably run Olympic Gold through the laptop as it will be quicker. I suppose you could bring a few other games for people to play. Maybe some from the High Score thread, so people can attempt some records if they fancy. I won't be bringing any systems so other people will definitely need to help out with that.

I still have the two Codemasters games in my desk drawer from last year. It'd be nice to avoid emulation - we can all do that at home, and for Olympic Gold it might make some difference as the timing of button bashing could be more sensitive. Also, setting it up ought to be quick if we don't enter names.
