It would be pretty cool to see it again... but I'm guessing there's a charge (that forum is loading so slowly right now that it's difficult to make anything of it). If I could tolerate the load times I'd register and ask him to upload it to UKNova as well. Once it's out there, other people can take the burden.
Kudos for the effort, though I'm sure people would rather get the files and make their own hard copies if they cared enough about it.

I'm ordering the set just for convenience! I loved that show when it was on - so sad to see Patrick Moore doing 'the sky at night' these days, he is so so old and I'm pretty sure he doesn't have much time left with us...

Indeed... I think many people at the time probably thought Mr Moore was mad to do GM, but I'm convinced that he won both the respect and heart of many of the younger generation by doing the show.
I'm buying the boxset on the basis that if I don't, I know at some point down the line I'll deeply regret not having it!
While we're on the subject of gamesmaster- I hadn't realised that this magazine was still going, but future publishing are still cranking it out. It started in 1993, so does that mean this magazine has had a 17 year run so far? That can't be right...
I'm almost tempted to try to get a set together. If that's a continuous run, then that would be an amazing chronicle of gaming history (even if it did start when 8-bit was pretty dead, and 16-bit was looking a little tired).

Hi All, SeeNoEvil from the GamesMasterLive forums here. I'm the guy who put this whole project together. Cheers for the kudos on this.
I still find it strange to re-watch the first series and see a news item on this great new next gen machine; the SNES! Good o'l days.

Has a price been announced? I had a look through the linked thread when this was first posted about a month ago, but didn't see any mention of it.

It's £49.84, although I think Seenoevil was doing a very specific run of 23 boxsets (for the people who had confirmed that they wanted a box). There's a second run deadline of 18th July. If you want a set, I recommend getting your skates on.

Yes, the price for the complete S1-7 DVD box set is £49.84. I wasn't exactly doing a specific run of 23 box sets, that was just how many people happened to sign up for the first run. When I first started the thread on the GML forums, I assumed there might just be a couple of people, 5-7 at most, so it's turned out to be a much bigger project than I first imagined. As I still had people contacting me after I'd set a deadline, I decided to do one second run as well, but that will be the last, so anyone who is interested needs to make contact with me before Sunday the 18th of July. After that you'll likely need to try and get a copy off someone else who bought one, and even then that's a big ask for someone to copy the full set of 22 dual layer discs, along with printing the disc labels, DVD covers and getting the proper DVD cases too.

Ive sent an email requesting the set. £50 is a lot of money for DVD's but re-living this period of my life is worth the one time outlay

It may be a lot of money, but considering what you get, it seems decent value to me.
Very tempted by this... Trying to not spend much this month, though.

What exactly is this? Some sort of game review television show? There was an element of that, but it was so much more. I could explain, but it's better to just link to Wikipedia: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Games_Master

I've just received my DVD's and they look great. Watching through all of these will keep me occupied for a while.
