When this came up on Game Club a few years ago I got this score. I'm pretty sure I just took the right fork every time on that run.

Had another go tonight. Beat my old score slightly. I filmed that run as well if anyone is interested. I bumped into a couple of cars, come off the track a little bit and had one minor crash so the score is definitely beatable.

4:55 is a pretty awesome time. I've never made it in under 5 minutes..

Excellent score Gordman! That will be very tough to beat.
I'll give it another go tonight. I reckon if I have a near perfect run I could challenge it.

I must say Gordman, I was highly impressed when I saw that score! You should film your run and send it in to Twin Galaxies, the world record is only about 8,000,000 if I remember rightly

I can try to make another, similar run but it will be very hard to beat my new record again. It was nearly perfect with only little mistakes as I touched another cars. The world record is only 8,000,000? I believe that my pictures aren´t enough hm?^^

YES! After a lot of practice and experimenting, I've achieved a new high score: 42,269,160The funny thing was, I was using Gordman's route (LRLL) to try and get the best score, but on my high score run, I was forced to go right at the last fork (damn cars getting in the way). I finished up at route C (LRLR).

Congrats, very good work! I don´t know if I can ever top that score Ian, but I´m sure that our two scores are world records. I got another record with a 41 at first which I didn´t posted here.

Possibly relevant is this description of the scoring system in the arcade game - not cutting corners and staying at the maximum speed seem to be the most important things. Someone could do the same analysis on the SMS game pretty easily. What would be harder is figuring out which route has the highest scoring potential if played perfectly.

14418980 5'18"49 left->right->right->left at the forks. I remember having about 6 seconds or so to spare that got added to my bonus. No picture, but since it's not an epic score anyways it's not worth setting up the camera for it. Just stoked I finally finished part of it.

Sorry Ian, I don´t want to piss you off, but.. ;D I made absolutely no mistake during that run. I tried to make a video with my camera of it, but the camera gave up during the run and I have no chance to make this an official world record

Noooooooooooooo! Congrats Gordman. If that's a perfect run then I don't think I'll bother challenging that.
