I dont see how a game can be "unofficially licensed" if they didnt have Sega's permission its not licensed. Has anyone had a response from the person who made the Wikipedia page?, because thats no magazine scan, someone either has a version of the game on computer, or faked the whole thing
(im talking about Sonic Edusoft by the way)

Ive just thought of something: Master Games 1, as it was 1 they must have thought there would be more, is there any refference to this anywhere?

Well yes they certainly put the 1 in the title expecting there to be more at the time. The same thing happened with Dreamcast - Sega Smash Pack Volume 1, theres never was a volume 2.

I would have assumed this to be a fake, but he does seem to have contributed other accurate details in the past relating to Tiertex games, and as Bock pointed out, the screenshot is certainly with SMS capabilites. A curious one, but certainly deserving of a place on the list...

I assume Bock has asked for the ROM, would be a shame if the guy wont share it for us all to try.

well i´ve been making an index of all the mags i own and i´ve seen pics of tintin on the moon on several magazines in france and england. I truly believe someone released the game, in one of the previews, from sega pro they said that the game was being made by a company named "teeny weeny games", mybe this can help the likes of bock to find the proto somewhere!!!

Hmm. The only Master System games that Teeny Weeny Games that was made were Predator 2 and Crash Dummies even though they brought out Choplifter 3 on Game Gear. Interesting since the other versions of Tintin on the Moon were done by Infogrames. Seems odd that the last few Master System games were released on Amiga (e.g. Captain Planet).

I'd like to check this ROM out if Bock gets a hold of it, I always dug those old 80s and 90s era educational games.

Got Issue 1 of Sega Pro Magazine today - November 1991.
In the upcoming games section in the front of the mag it lists Duck Tales as coming 11/91 in the UK. Lucky Dime Caper came out in 1991, so must it be referring to that, the game features Uncle Scrooge in it a bit, who was the main character from the Duck Tales cartoon wasn't he? Perhaps Sega did want to use the Duck Tales name at some point, but Capcom beat them to it.
It also lists Lucky Dime Adventure as coming out for Gamegear in the US 10/91.
Also listed is Donald Duck for Gamegear due in uk 11/91
There was definitely confusion as to what the game was called, Bock has a prototype cart of the sms version which is just called Donald Duck. It seems Sega didn't choose the title Lucky Dime Caper untill very late before the game was released.
There is also two instances of Super Real Basketball in the mag, once in the releases section in the back, and in one of the ads from a shop, both list it as £24.99. This must surely be the Super Basketball game Bock has a two screen rolling demo of, perhaps it went further into development than that.

Thanks for the additions, kungfukid - I've added them into the list. Is there any chance you could scan the relevant pages too? I only just noticed this (around 9 months late!! ;D) Think that was either around the time I was snowed under at work or when I was ill last year. I'll try and get the pages scanned when I get a spare hour!

Got a source for Drop Zone, Sega Power issue 57, August 1994. The out soon section of the mag lists it for release in July, as it also does for the Gamegear version. It also lists NBA Jam as coming for sms in August. Theres an advert in the back from Software First that also lists Drop Zone, it also lists f15 Strike Eagle, NBA Jam, none of those have prices next to them however. But Fire & Ice is listed with a price of £24.99. Annoyingly I can't do any scans as my scanner has decided to pack up, I may try taking it apart later, but that will probably end up with it even more broken

Interesting. I'll update the main list when I get a free minute...
Probably worth mentioning it at DP too - there's people over there who'll have those copies of EGM...
