Thats a good idea, to show if the game is for 1 or 2 Player. But i have my Problems with the difficulty ratings...it would be better to rate the Game with Easy, Medium, Hard and maybe Insane and not with 1-10. Cause its a bit hard to decide if a game get 4 or 5 Points in this Rating.

Cheers sinistral,if i think of anything else i'll let you know.Maybe what peripheral the game uses would be good,if it uses the light phaser it would be a nice touch to have a small picture of the phaser at the game info.

ShadowAngel are you for real about Golden axe being banned in Germany? How could you live with rules like that? Any other games that were banned for no reason at all? If Blair/Major tried to stop me from playing Golden axe i'd blow up Downing street.Especiallly when i was 12 years old,i needed that game like a drug.

Yes Golden Axe 1 is banned, at least the versions for Amiga, Genesis and Arcade. Just because of the Death Screams and the 'brutality' of the Game.
We have in Germany two ways a Game/Movie/Book/Music can get banned: either the Thing is no more available for people under 18 and advertising and reviews in magazines are forbidden (People over 18 can still by the game in normal shops, but its even forbidden for online shops to sell the games) or the it is fully banned, which mean even people over 18 aren't allowed to buy. For example Dawn of the Dead is fully banned and on the other side it is in the Museum of Modern Art...
Until 2000 most of the Games we get here were cut, which means the blood was the most time green or black, sometimes the human enemies were changed to robots and a lot of games got banned (i think around 1000 games are still banned here, even 20 year old games like Blue Max) After 2000 the laws were changed, now nearly all games are uncut and if a game gets banned then with a good reason (all games with nationalism in it are fully banned here, for example the Wolfenstein Games, its weird cause you can show the nazisigns in Movies or Books, but not in Games), for example Manhunt. They even didn't bann Doom 3 which is a really good sign.
Oh yes and to shock all of you: Black Belt is banned here ;D

I'm guessing that's because the enemies fall into hideous, grotesque cubes when you destroy them.

You're right, thats too brutal for us ;D
The other MS games banned here are: Mortal Kombat 1-3 (every Mortal Kombat except Deadly Alliance, the new Deception and all Game Boy Versions are totally banned here), Shadow Dancer (but maybe its just the Genesis Version), Rambo 3 and Mercs. I think that is all
The Politics here really think that Computergames, Movies and not to forget the evil Metal Music can turn people into amok running barbarians. It's a bit like with Rock n Roll in the 50's. Older People here really think Computergames come right from the Devil. On the other side, it is no Problem to show nude people on TV and even alcohol is no problem, as you can drink beer and wine with 16 legally

For example Dawn of the Dead is fully banned and on the other side it is in the Museum of Modern Art... By 'the other side', do you mean the former East Germany? Or have I misunderstood you there? ;D I'd have thought Dawn of the Dead would be approved - it's not gratuitously violent, or even that gory, and it certainly isn't vacuous schlock. The most frightening aspects of the film are parts without any violence at all - the realisation of our dependence and central role in mindless consumerism being one. I saw it when I was fairly young, and was never affected by the gore - but I had formidable recurring nightmares inspired by the scene were Roger, believing they'd won, succumbs to the sickness and passes away. Later, watching over his body during the night, his best friend witnesses his waking as one of them, and has promised to shoot him - the look on both their faces!! It still makes me shudder, to this day - and not a spot of bright-orange blood in sight. After 2000 the laws were changed, now nearly all games are uncut and if a game gets banned then with a good reason (all games with nationalism in it are fully banned here, for example the Wolfenstein Games, its weird cause you can show the nazisigns in Movies or Books, but not in Games), for example Manhunt. What's the situation with all the WW2 games (there are so many!)? I think it'd be better to just allow these cheap Nazi references - modern Germans should feel no responsibility whatsoever for the actions of utter fuc king madmen 60 years ago, so why hide it all away? That is potentially very dangerous censorship, in my opinion.

No sorry with other side i just meant the the Movie is in other Countries not banned and most Critic love it and its generally highly appreciated The whole thing with Movies is totally weird here, the Original Version of Dawn of the Dead is banned, but you can buy the 2003 Remake everywhere. Another Example is Friday the 13th, the Uncut Version is only banned on VHS but you can buy the DVD everywhere... Yes it is Censorship but its not called so, cause we live in an democratic country and censorship is not allowed here, so they just say, they ban everything to save the youth (and then think about all the sex and the alcohol...weird). And today it is total ridicoulus as everyone here has Internet and you can download everything, even kids can do it....but hey maybe someday they ban the internet ;D To the Nazis: The Problem is, there are still a lot of People in other countries thinking we are all Nazis and we still 'love' Hitler. You even have that in Online Games, join to an english or US server and say your german, all the people write 'Heil Hitler' or 'Sieg Heil'..... And like i said before the Signs and Pictures of Hitler are only forbidden in Computergames, cause they are Toys. Movies and Books are Art, so its no Problem to show it (Indiana Jones for example). And i know how Crazy that sound I understand it that Games like KZ Manager (a old Game where you 'manage' a KZ and kill jews) or Nazi Music is forbidden but i don't understand it with Games like Wolfenstein were you kill Nazis...

Dawn of the Dead. I at first thought you were talking about the new one, which sucked, but then realized it must be the original, which is so awesome. In fact, it was filmed in a mall about 25 minutes away from where I live. And Sinny, I think I'd like that cool email address, I've been thinking about getting a new one due to the amount of annoying spam I've been getting on my regular email.
