What a beast of a collection! Looks great, although I wonder why you didn't go further and grouping other spines that were similar (the plain Sega logo, the 8-bit logo, the Sega Master System logo, etc.). Sorted like that, it would be a thing of true beauty. As much as I want it to look nice, I want to be able to easily find games even more. Practicality over style, and all that. :) The Kixx and Classic games are the same as the normal ones, so I'll never be looking for them (not to play, at least). If it's a card game, I know where to look - same for Tec Toy games. There is logic behind it, but I wouldn't say it's flawless. :) To be honest, I've been considering integrating the currently-separated games (except the card games) into the main lot, just for the sake of consistency. Also; I don't believe I've welcomed you to the forum, so: Welcome, dude. :)

Here's what most of the UPC stickers on Canadian releases look like: Thanks for that great scan...make it real clear now. Funny that it's a Canadian only release for a game called American Baseball. Too bad there was no game called Canadian Curling released only in the States. American Baseball was released in the US under the name Reggie Jackson Baseball. They're identical. They just gave it a different name for the rest of the world who might not follow baseball and not know who Reggie Jackson was . They did that with Heavyweight Champ/James "Buster Douglas Knockout Boxing too.

They did that with Heavyweight Champ/James "Buster Douglas Knockout Boxing too. I reckon it's more because they didn;t want to pay the licensing fees for the names outside the US

That Heavyweight Champ art looks great, and it's probably a helluva lot cheaper than Buster's ugly mug, too.

Welcome aboard! Its always nice to have someone else that side of the world to trade with ;). I Know Aypok has his sorted by cover style Yeah, sort of. :) I seperated out the Classic, Kixx, Tec Toy and card releases (these groups are then ordered alphabetically) - the rest are in normal alphabetical order. It is solely for asthetic reasons. Here are some pictures I took earlier this week, if anyone's interested: Picture 0 (1 MiB) Picture 1 (2.5 MiB) More picturesSweet collection, especially like the Pico ;). I really need to get off my ass and sort my games out for some nice piccies. The only piccies i have are about 2 years old now, i reckon my collection's nearly double the size now ;D I've got stacks of cart only games too mainly Atari and Nintendo stuff, but i never bother taking pictures of that stuff.

There are just too many minor differences in the spines to try and organize it. For the pictures I'll do once I get a complete set I might line it up that way, but then otherwise I'll surrender to practicality too. In terms of consistency, there was no system greater than the Sega Saturn. The layout stayed the same throughout its US run, and seeing it complete on a shelf is belissima. They were close with the US Master System though, so I'll give Sega some props. At least they didn't jump ship and change half way through like the Dreamcast did. :-/

I like those shelves in the first pic, ninja, where did you get them? I'd love to deck a full all out in that.
Thanks for all the warm welcomes, guys, you're great.

I made them myself. I wouldn't recommend it unless you were planning on never moving though, when i sold that house i had to change that room back into a dining room and it took me ages to fill all the holes where i had drilled the brackets to the wall. I'm in the middle of converting the attic in my new house, so expect some much more impressive pictures soon

It's called American Pro Football. Joe Montana stayed the same in all releases. I assume it's because they actually brought him on board for promotions and stuff.

Funny, because the other guys look like they were brought in to dress up specifically in Sega clothing for the covers. Montana's probably a more famous name outside the States too, that was probably a selling point.
