After wandering around for a few months as 'guest', I decided to register and be part of it (on rupert's advise though :-)
My SMS story began back in 1989, when Sandy Claus (was it ? really ?) put one of these black beauty under the tree. You guess my brother and I went crazy, as it was our first gaming system ever. I then spent hours playing Wonder Boy III and Shinobi :-D I had the luck the N*S thing wasn't too famous in my area and almost every of my Kidd friends had a SMS too so we can switch games.
Unfortunately, it onces got back into its box as I was getting interested in other matters (lets keep it simple, let's say music and girls...). But one day, near the beginning of year 2000, I stumbled upon this box while cleaning and cannot overcome the need for it... That's when I started collecting SMS stuff, wandering in bargain stores and on eBay.
My collection is now about 300 PAL Releases, 100 NTSC, and 30 Mark3 games, need to have a long check trought it anyway :-D I'm still lacking some european and north america rarities, so I'll be happy to trade for them :-)
Hope this wasn't too long ;-) Cheers to you all

welcome I may have some spares you need. You should put a list of what you need in the wanted and trade section. Do you have a collection list or parhaps photos?

Hey NopS, welcome to the forum - sounds like you've got a pretty good collection going there!! So what are you missing then? Can't be too much.

He he, thanks for welcoming me everyone I'm trying to collect every minute variation for European games, so even if the number seems huge, i own a lot of common games in 2 or 3 releases. For the European part, I'm still lacking the "most wanted" games (Smurfs 2 and those classics releases) but as I'm short of money or games of interest for trading, I'll put it aside for now. I had a sort-out trough my US and Japanese collection this weekend. Where should I post my collection listings (I would like to have photos, but my camera is broken, want some crappy webcam pictures )?

Well if its every minute variation you're after you should have a chat to Rupert as he seems to have/ know about most of the variations.

His list is pretty substantial now, as well as checking out the SMSpower scans. I just started adding variants to our database.

Indeed anagrama, I discovered the Sega8Bit Forum when a friend pointed me out to this thread shinobiman.proboards15.com/index.cgi?board=ebay&action=display&thread=1166560179. It seems like the small god of parcels loss striked again as I never received this one (paid a total £11 with shipping), It has been 2 months now so I think this seller is gonna get is neg ;-) Thanks krooper, (king)rupert seem to have a lot of games including variations, I like to take my time, no need to finish this collection in the following weeks, else where's the pleasure to collect ? I submited a lot of scans to SMS Power (I remember burning down about 350 MB to a CD-R and then send it in a padded enveloppe to Maxim) that was about my entire collection at that time. But I think you guys have submited better quality ones since then.

What got me to buy a sega master system was www.segamastersystem.com which is dead now but it showed me what a great console the master system is and was.
