Well where to start? Ah here we go Yo my name is Geo and I live Detroit MI. I'm a mma fighter and a gamer. I My 1st time I played sms was at my cusions. The game was "the Ninja"and Fantasy zone Wow what entertainment the games gave me. Sadly that was the last time I played sms in a long while. I grew up playing NES. I remember my dad asking my brother and I if we wanted the sms because it was cheaper but hehe I like Nintendo better. my next system was a Genesis yes I did like it but man like I said I like Nintendo better. So I never got a snes until 97. Anyway yrs and yrs went by and well on side I have been collecting, selling trading old and rare that was anything videogame related. But I couldn't find a sms. FINALLY in the yr 2002 I got and credit card and ebay became my new place for video game hunting. My 1st purchase was a double pack for sms 1 and 2 with 30 games. I spent 120 all together and really felt happy. I now have over 50 games for sms. My favorite games for it so far are fantasy zone, Renegade, ninja gaiden, double dragon, and spy action. When I get my digital camera I'll post a pic of my MONSTER GAME collection.

Hello. I'm Roth, and some of you might recognize me from various other forums. I've been looking for an SMS forum since I got one not too long ago. My favorite Master System game is Rastan, though I unfortunately don't own it. Anyway, there's not much else to tell right now.
By the way, site looks nice!

..well, me and Sega go a ways back. I first moved to Cali when I was 12 years old, I guess it was 1987-88. I checked into a 6th grade school, and back then I was into skateboarding and loved videogames but had yet to get a system after the 2600. Well the whole friggin school had the NES, but 2 of the guys I would become good friends with had the SMS. Somehow they convinced me to go with the Sega, and the rest is history. We had our own little group called the Sega Boys, and constantly had to battle and argue with everyone that Sega was the better more powerful system. I'm not sure it was graphically evident to most NES users until Phantasy Star came out. I still to this day love that game and am trying to win it again, though I take long breaks in playing it. I'm still stuck in Medusa's friggin tower. At the time I pronounced I was the first one to win it and really believed it with all my heart....lol. I started collecting classic games again like 2 years ago, around the same time I discovered ebay. I've compiled a very nice collection, including the 3-D glasses and all games for it except Outrun 3-D. And i've been lucky enough with the help of ebay to discover some of the many gems that were UK or other exclusives. It's nice to know the SMS really was better than the NES overseas. Although I bought a NES also and some of my fave games for it too. One of my fave Sega memories was in I guess 1989, when the Genesis was getting ready for launch. Sega put together this huge promotional display at our local mall. They had like 50 playable monitors and the games blew everyone away. It was the first time I ever saw Revenge of Shinobi in action, it was a dream come true....for once Sega was going to be on top. They gave away Altered Beast shirts, my friend got one. The best part was all the Nintendo heads had to bow down, at last! And of course Phantasy Star 2 was another game that would leave an everlasting impression. I didn't get a game system after the Genesis until PS1. So I missed out on the whole Saturn experience. Though one day i'd still like to see what I missed. These days I have my Xbox, SMS, Genesis, and NES. I don't play games all that often, but when I do it's usually a classic over the Xbox. I have almost 60 SMS games, and there's a couple more I want. It's cool to see others going for complete collections, but I just wanted to recollect old faves and see ones I missed out on. If I didn't collect records too, I might have tried for the complete collection. Well, this is a great site, glad to be a member......and for old times, Sega Rules!!!! ;D

Hi there im new to the board only found it a while back. Im Brent 25 from west Sussex and a student. The last year i got a job in gamestation for some spending money and my old love for Sega was born again, The master system was my first games console after having the great ZX Spectrums for years. Now i currently run a ebay store called Console Addict stores.ebay.co.uk/Console-Addict_W0QQsspagenameZMEQ3aFQ3aSTQQtZkmThis helps pay for my student ways and helps the g/f help with money. I am a real wonder boy fan on both Sega systems apart from Wonder boy 3 on the Mega Drive.

Hi boys Felt in the master system in 1987 with the pack containing hang on. My parents bought the master system for my brother's birthday (Kenneth is my bros, don't ask me why I did choose is name as nickname on the sms network ) and as they didn't want any jealous, I had a Spy vs Spy card ^^ Soon after came kung-fu kid and wonder boy. And then, the megadrive arrived. Before the playstation. And the dreamcast. In 1998, we began to collect. First, buying all the games and systems we were dreaming of in our childhood. When it was finished, my brother started a "all around collection", buying anything rare and expensive he could find. Me, my choice was more "quantity rather than quality" lol, anything cheap I found had to finish in my room ^^ But about two years ago, I decided to collect only sega 8bit and 16 bit and this year I made my choice: the 8bits will be mine ! I have something like 250 master system games (including 5 us versions lol), 50 mark 3 games, 60 game gear game but still not a lot of hardware. Try to concentrate on the software (not to say "try to concentrate on the cheaper stuff" ;D )

Hey everyone, i'm Joe and i'm 19. I live in Ma, U.S. You might know me as AlexKidd on digital press, atari age,sega-16 or pcenginefx. The sms was my first system when I was 3 years old and I loved it. I now own 20 something systems and maybe 500 games. I generally prefer 16-bit systems now but the sms is still one of my favorites.

Just came across this whilst randomly following links from other sites, I didn't think there was a forum dedicated to this stuff! Anyway a bit about me, my name's Gokhan, I'm 21 and live in Melbourne, Australia. I got my first taste of console gaming when my cousin got an Atari 2600, we used to spend hours playing Pitfall and River Raid. Later on he got a NES, which I have to admit was a lot of fun, games like Duck Hunt and Mario kept us busy, my personal favourites also included Snake, Rattle and Roll and California Games. But anyway this is about the SMS. In '92 I received an SMS2 as a birthday present, with Alex Kidd built in. I can still remember how exciting it was when I got to the next level Even my dad would join in the fun, especially when I got Sonic 2 in '93. He nearly finished that game before me, but I managed to finish it As the years went by and games became cheaper I would buy one every now and then. Ideally I would like to start collecting too, I have some games that have no box or manual I also had to replace the original pad with new 'Honeybee' versions, and I also added the Light Phaser to my collection when I got a copy of 'Gangster Town'. Nowadays all my gaming is confined to the PC, but with a bit of emulation I can relieve the good old days. My favourite games would have to be Alex Kidd in Miracle World, Sonic 2 and Wonder Boy III - The Dragon's Trap.

I can't believe i haven't done this yet. well anyway My name Adrian i'm 17 from sydney, Australia and i have a sega master system, atari 2600, snes, mega drive, commodore 64, nintendo 64, gamecube, playstation, atari 800, game king, dreamcast, etc.
Basically i first got/played a master in 1993 i can vividly remeber playing the first level of sonic 2. then over the next couple of years i accumulated a couple of games e.g alien storm, ninja, wonderboy etc. and cause my parents split i was able to have 2 masters one with sonic the other alex the kidd. In 96 tho i had to move to syd form wagga having to sell my master with sonic built in(i didn't know it was rare at the time) and a couple of games with it too e.g fantasy zone I & II, global defence, transbot etc. and my dad had put his away some where. then after christmas round 2000/1when i came to see my dad my bro suggested we find it, and we did. then we got some more games up there e.g action fighter. then i just started getting games and after finding an atari 2600 w heaps o games for $14 started collectiong consoles n games and have about more than 40 games. I found this site like 2002 2003 n just started like posting stuff. From this site i have learned that next time i come across a complete copy of Robocop3 for $5 to buy it and also Power strike II even tho i knew it was a good game to begin with.
