Okay, so now that my US collection is complete I am going to be very pernickity. I'm wondering if any of you explicitly collect the ℠ and ® variants on US releases (were they like that in Europe, too?). I've made a little list of the "possible" titles, but I'm not sure if all of them have both variants, since I've come across a great many of them and haven't been able to find differences.
For reference, here are all the "Now there are no limits." games in the US, and beside them are the versions that I have:
Action Fighter ℠ ® TAIWAN Alex Kidd in Miracle World ℠ ® Astro Warrior ℠ ® Black Belt ℠ ® TAIWAN Choplifter ℠ ® TAIWAN Enduro Racer ® F16 Fighting Falcon ℠ ® Fantasy Zone ® ℠ Fantasy Zone 2 ® Gangster Town ® Ghost House ℠ ® Ghostbusters ® ℠ Great Baseball ® TAIWAN Great Basketball ® Great Football ® TAIWAN Great Golf ® Great Ice Hockey ℠ ® Great Soccer ® Great Volleyball ® TAIWAN Hang-on/Astro Warrior ℠ ® CHINA TAIWAN HONG KONG CHINA (sticker) Hang-on/Safari Hunt ℠ ® CHINA (sticker) TAIWAN CHINA M A D E I N J A P A N Kung Fu Kid ® Marksman Shooting/Trap Shooting ℠ ® Missile Defense 3-D ® MADE IN HONGKONG My Hero ℠ ® The Ninja ℠ ® Out Run ® Penguin Land ® Pro Wrestling ℠ ® Quartet ℠ ® Rambo - First Blood: Part II ℠ ® Rocky ® Shooting Gallery ℠ ® Space Harrier ℠ ® Sports Pad Football ® Super Tennis ℠ ® Teddy Boy ℠ TransBot ℠ ® Wonder Boy ℠ ® TAIWAN World Grand Prix ℠ ® TAIWAN Zillion ®
So does anyone else have any differences? I also noticed that cosmetically the My Hero manual is the only one that's different other than the trademark - the "My Hero" title is black on one release, and blue on the other. Also of note, there are at least three different US Hang-on/Safari Hunt and four different Hang-on/Astro Warrior versions with "Made in Taiwan/China/Japan/Hong Kong" differences.
So who else has the eye of the hawk - let's here some nitpick differences to prove how truly nerdy you really are. I dare you.

Yeah, I always forget about SMS Power. I'll definitely offer up some scans there - for sure the US UPC stickers that I have, as well as more variants when I get the time.

I just picked up a few more variants. So I'm pretty sure Hang-on was manufactured in every country on the planet. The new one I picked up was from Hong Kong, so I now have versions made in China, Japan, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. I'm still holding out for Turkey.
Also picked up an ® Transbot and Pro Wrestling. It will never end.

I have a peel label that says Japan and under it says China. The Hong Kong one is normal without a sticker. I guess it proves just how many different production runs that pack-in had.

Small updates here, but some notables: MADE IN TAIWAN Great Baseball. ® World Grand Prix MADE IN CHINA (sticker) Hang-on/Astro Warrior The most important though, are these notable manual variations: DOUBLE DRAGON There were definitely two different runs of manuals produced. One that had "DOUBLE DRAGON is a licensed trademark of Trade West Software, Inc." on it, and one that had none at all. More interesting, though, is that on all the copies that have the trademark information, "Trade West Software, Inc." has been crossed off with a black marker. I've come across about six of them, and others I've emailed have found the same. I've never seen one without the cross on it. Here's a picture for proof: ZILLION Not a huge variation, but still physically notable. The grid lines on the manual are solid colors in one and the usual half-tones on the other. While normally this could be called a print defect, the colors of the buttons on the monitor (shaded on one and absent on the other) clearly show they are two entirely different print runs. Weird. Here's proof:
