Hi, my name is Kaleb. Let me introduce myself. I'm currently at a loose end due to finishing my exams and waiting for sixth form to start and have started to explore the world of retro gamming. The early 8 bit machines such as the Atari 2600 interest me and I'm currently on the look out for one as I really like the look of some of the classic games. I regularly get to the Arcade Club in Bury with my dad (going again Thursday) and have noticed that quite a few of them are made by Sega so it got me interested in the Master System which is lucky as my Dad (Retrokevretro) has a BIG collection of games and there is about 10 systems around the house! My Dad is going to the meet up on Saturday and I have asked if I can come along to play some games, hope that's ok with you guys?

Welcome to the forum Kaleb! Ahh... the feeling of freedom when your exams are finished!
(I'm not involved with the meet but will leave the others to respond to that Q).

Welcome Kaleb I remember all too well the post exam days, mine were spent reading and playing grand Prix 2. You certainly have a great start to your retro gaming education with your dad's collection (I've been up and seen it in the flesh, it's certainly a wonder to behold) I am sure everyone will be more than welcoming at the meet, I am hoping to make it up (depending on how the kitchen renovation goes)

Welcome to the forum! The first video game forum I ever joined was Atari Age. I was interested in the Lynx at the time and was planning to collect for it before going with the Master System instead.
I remember my first year of college. Me and buddy both bought Playstations. So many hours were spent on Tomb Raider 2, Gran Tourismo and the original GTA. I can't believe that was over 20 years ago!!
Of course you are welcome to the meet up. You will probably be increasing the number of people by 20 or 25% at this rate too.

Welcome to the forum. I can definitely recommend the Master System as a retro console to explore. You're more than welcome to the meet-up on Saturday, the more the merrier.
